Hi my dear FabPlayers! I opened this thread to make any kind of announcements, as you can understand from the title   And here comes my first announcement; Allowing participation of some disputed/autonomous territories in Fabulous Song Contest have always been a mess. So I decided to make 3 groups and decided what to do with them. The first group is about unrecognised or recognised only by a few countries. These are  Abkhazia
 Crimea
 Nagorno-Karabakh
 Northern Cyprus
 Somaliland
 South Ossetia
 Transnistria
 Western Sahara
I decided not to allow them participate in Fabulous Song Contest. This would cause a chaos in the contest and some players would be pissed off. But I'm really undecided about the rest. So this means you'll decide on that The second group I'm talking about is the 3 states that are recognised by many other countries. These are  Kosovo
 Taiwan
 Palestine
Should they be allowed to participate in FSC? Please vote "yes" or "no" in our poll. The third group is about some autonomous territories which usually are allowed to participate in other contests. These will be  Aland Islands
 Alaska
 Faroe Islands
 Greenland
 Hawaii
 Puerto Rico.

OK! So here is my opinion on the situation! For the 1st category, I totally agree. This will only cause chaos and I couldn't imagine how many players will react badly to it, including me. And it's just my opinion on this.. please don't split the UK up, (I know you won't, just my honest opinion! ) 2nd category: Taiwan should be allowed. It doesn't take part in me & my friend's contest because it's not recognised enough. But I disagree. I think it should be allowed. & , well, if they wanted to. 3rd category: , ? If that was allowed, you may as well split the whole nation into it's states. Sorry if it sounds like the wrong way, but I haven't seen them in different contests I take part in, and it is unusual for this to happen. I can understand the others, but not Alaska & Hawaii. For , , , I'm all for it! I love these regions, and I know a great artist from the Faroe Islands. that's my opinion though.. |

Well Alaska and Hawaii are overseas territories of USA, and they are big/popular enough so I decided to add them too. I know it's very complicated situation. France and UK or some others also have small territories outside of main country but I dont want things to get messy. I'll only allow those 5 territories to participate, if people say "YES" ofc. |

I voted for both groups "no", this because I don't want to see  Palestine participating in the contest - the other 2 are OK for me by the way.  Palestine isn't even a member of the United Nations.  The other group sounds so strange for me... I don't want to see  Alaska participating in the contest, it's a state of the  United States.  Only  Greenland could be an option for that group if you ask me. |

Btw I want to add that, if you decide "Yes" on those 5 special territories participating, this doesnt mean you can send one random Danish singer for Greenland, or one random American singer for Hawaii. "The singer must be from that territory, or at least must have roots" rule still goes on!!

It'll just get messy because they have many small territories, so I think this list is perfect. but like you said, only if people say yes |

I think that the first group no as they aren't countries but Kosovo,Taiwan, Palestine should as should Greenland,Aland Islands and the Faroes. I dont think that US states should be allowed as all the contest will then fill up with US states and Traditional FSC countries. Also NO French and UK OT's(overseas territories) should be allowed as there are a LOT of them. THey could though participate as the country nearest or the ruling country!!!  |

My opinion: Kosovo and Taiwan - YES Because I'm sure they are recognised states. NO to: Alaska and Hawaii are under U.S Territory (so is Puerto Rico for that matter) Aland Islands is part of Finland (I believe) Unsure about Palestine but I'd personally wouldn't add them. In the past I accepted Faroe Islands and Greenland as independent states but they're in fact under Danish territory. Theoretically they should be under as Denmark (and yes, Greenland did win one edition  ). That's what I think but I don't mind either way tbh. |
