Poranean will no longer be Poranean A decision has been taken regarding the name of the language
In Aquia, the Royal Poranean Academy is a normative body that rules on the orthography and general usage rules of the language. The Academy has used Poranean since the 18th century, but since 2018, its dictionary and grammar are da língua aquana (" of the Aquian language"). The Academy's usage of one term is not necessarily a condemnation of the other. Aquian is the term which will be used from now on. There are many other academies (grouped under the Association of Aquian Language Academies) that may or may not have an official normative recognition but nevertheless cooperate in the creation of the Dicionário aquiano de dúvidas (a compendium of corrected typical mistakes and doubts). The dictionary, whose production was agreed upon by the 22 different Poranean Language Academies, says:

TENSIONS RISE IN WESTERN KATSYRIA AS INDEPENDENCE PROTESTS ARE HELDRelations between Glaray and Katsyria have soured again after a series of protests took place in the region that called for an independence movement.
Human rights in Western Katsyria are considerably poorer than the rest of the country, where voting rights are limited and racial discrimination is rife. Despite an ethnic Glaraian majority, the local government and administration is mainly controlled by Katsyrians and thus a compromise is near-impossible due to the back and forth nature of the conflict. What was originally a fight for equality decades ago has become an independence movement in recent years, as many Glaraians have tired over the nonexistent change and want to break away altogether.
Government officials from both parties are expected to undergo discussions to quell the sudden uproar. CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER DEBUTS Celebrity Big Brother is set to debut on Glaraian television for the first time this week. The Big Brother franchise, which is widely popular around Fantasia, originally impacted Glaraian television in 2014, where it was extremely popular. Despite its popularity, licensing issues meant the show was unable to return. However, a celebrity installment of the franchise will begin this week with the hopes of restoring the show's popularity in the country.Sixteen celebrity housemates will enter the Big Brother house for 35 days with the goal of winning the $100,000 grand prize for the charity of their choice. The cast is described as 'incredibly stacked', with some major celebrities taking part. The cast is as follows:WOMEN Amber "@jstlbby" Wagner, 26 - Internet personality Corinne Kaplan, 39 - Survivor: Almon & Survivor: Korgelaid contestant Jillian Hall, 37 - Professional wrestler Tabatha Coffey, 48 - Hairdresser and reality television personality Tiffany "New York" Pollard, 36 - Reality television personality Donatella Versace, 62 - Fashion icon and businesswoman Elvana Gjata, 31 - Singer-songwriter and model Inês Brasil, 48 - Aquian Fantasia Contest representative, singer, and internet personalityMEN Dylan Matthews, 26 - YouTuber Matt McGorry, 31 - Actor and activist Peter Jones, 51 - Entrepreneur, businessman and 'Dragon' Taulant Xhaka, 26 - Football star Gordon Ramsay, 51 - Celebrity chef and television personality Milo Ventimiglia, 40 - Actor Simon Cowell, 58 - Music mogul and talent show judge Judge Robert Rinder, 39 - Lawyer and television personality

IPSEF 2017 | Which lost in favor of extinction and who managed to defeat it?
2017 was an interesting year for the ecosystem in Fantasia, once with the persistence of the global warming and the big majority of the countries trying to combat it. Unfortunately, this year also means we've lost 3 sub-species in the ongoing race against extinction, but there were also some sepcies which managed to end up stronger than ever over the mountains in Fantasia.
Which lost the battle?
(Unfortunately this year, if in 2016 was the year of the frogs going extinct, 2017 was the year of the butterflies)
Let's say that global warming, habitat destruction, human's continuous activity & surprising diseases wiped out these little guys from the face of Fantasia.
The Eastern Aquian Butterfly (the white one in the image) was the first from the three to be declared extinct. Discovered more than 165 years ago, this sub-species of the more diverse Aquian Butterfly was the biggest butterfly as size from the entire Fantasia. Commonly found in the eastern side of the nation (from where the name), it was a sub-species which knew how to define "simple, yet effective" in its own advantage. Unfortunately, global warming was the one which caused its demise. Despite its adaptation in warm climates, this one didn't manage to adapt as fast as it could throughout the changes - as estimated 3500 in 1930 to almost 15 in the wild in 2003. The surveys in the recent years found no trace of a butterfly.
The middle one was considered by local myths as "Ekchauh" in Kallitian - The Golden Butterfly. Endemic to former Demonica/nowadays Juliana, this butterfly's first records date from the Kallitian Empire, which was symbolised as a good-luck charm for a married couple. Back then, they were predominant and pretty much dominating the Southern Westmont region. Extinct in the wild after Kallitia's Zorane Monarchy (which is those years where almost 78-80% of Alkyria's native species were eradicated by the starving population), it remained alive only on the island where it's now Juliana. Its demise is still a mystery, as the butterfly vanished after 20th century and was declared extinct in the wild in its endemic island. In June 2017, it was put of the extinction list, despite a lot of controversies regarding its possible sightings in Juliana after that.
The last one, Arella Butterfly, was endemic to the smaller islands of Harish Islands, being a notable sub-species of the Arlipa Butterflies on the island mentioned earlier. The smallest of them all, it was discovered only 30 years later in a remote tropical forest. The Harishian scientists were amazed by the bright color of the butterfly, a trait which the other butterflies related didn't manage to inherit. Due to global warming and habitat destruction, this little butterfly went extinct in the wild around 2010, yet a search in 2015 and 2016 failed to find any living specimen. It was declared extinct in October 2017. ( r.i.p butterflies ;-; )
Who managed to survive and become better than ever?
To go on a more lighter side, there's a main species which managed, thanks to conservation efforts, to say a good old "bye bitch" to extinction.
The Pika (with all its 5 smol beans)
The 5 Power Rangers Pikas (previewed from left to right: Northern Westmont, Eldyrian, Centralian, Northern Easton(-ian?), Lakadamian) is a rodent which is mainly found in the mountainous areas or higher altitudes of Fantasia. Adapted to cold and loving grass, this little one is a very vocal one, while it's fighting scream would sound like a tiny squeak to a normal person's ears. The Eldyrian Pika is probably the biggest sub-species of Pika, but also the most different-looking one, considered by very many as a "weird combination between a mouse, a puppy and a rabbit". It was also nominated for the cutest living species in the entire Fantasia, however we think all the Pikas are pretty cute. The Lakadamian Pika (the smol, shy, round one) however, is the smallest and previously the most endangered. From 1000 worldwide in the 1900's, the determination of people adoring these cute ones and conservation efforts raised them up to 7500. The Pika also stands up for being the main inspiration for Pikachu, the main Pokemon character.
Other notable ones which deserve a mention for managing to stay afloat despite its previous dangers: - Northern Westmont Tiger - Lakadamian Bumble-Bee - Flirsk Grizzly Bear - Harishian Parakeet
The statistics for 2018 look promising, however the project tries as much as it can to consolidate the relations between them and the endemic country of a certain species. In this year, Alkyria & IPSEF is willing to be as active as possible in all movements regarding environment, protection and especially leading the battle against extinction.
Wow, I got so much into this topic lmao, someone actually stop me
sorry for those butterflies though, but I tried to make it as realistic as possible ;-;

NOEMI WINS LA CANZONE 2018 Glaray's most prestigious Vieran language music festival, La Canzone, took place this week. Over five consecutive nights, twenty artists took part in the festival with the aim of winning the competition's 68th edition.
Noemi was victorious with her entry "Non smettere mai di cercarmi", avenging her third placing in the 66th edition of the contest two years prior. She won with over 40% of the vote in the first round, making it one of the highest scoring entries in the history of the competition.
Due to circumstances surrounding the contest, any songs from the festival are ineligible to compete at the Fantasia Contest, however with a new album out, Noemi has stated she will 'contemplate an entry into the contest', revealing that in the past, she has been contacted by the broadcaster as a potential representative for Glaray.
"Non smettere mai di cercarmi" has sold over 15,000 copies since its release on Friday, and is expected to be the fastest selling single thus far this year, with extremely high first week sales forecasted.
