 Kazakhstan confirms participation!Astana, Kazakhstan ― It really comes with no surprise that  Kazakhstan has confirmed their participation in the upcoming North Vision Song Contest #18."Äwenfestïvali will be used to select the Kazakh song for another edition," commented head of delegation Mark Floponov, "It has proved to be a successful way to pick the entry so far. However, there will be multiple format changes this edition and hopefully we can keep this format for a longer period now." Äwenfestïvali 18 logoThe format changes include:
* 10 songs instead of 6
* Two semi-finals, with 5 songs each
* From both semi-finals, 2 songs will qualify straight to the final
* Another 2 songs will qualify into a second chance round from both semi-finals
* Finally, 2 songs will qualify from the second chance round
* The final will include 6 songs, and a typical jury-televoting process will take placeJury applications will open soon, along with song announcements. |

  Sweden confirms for #18!SVT has just confirmed Sweden's ongoing participation in the North Vision Song Contest!
The Head of Delegation, Jan Björkman, said: "We will participate for sure as the interest in the contest within our country is still really high!
Moreover, Velvet had such good receptions, that we decided to continue Fantasifestivalen in order to determine our entry
for the eighteenth edition of North Vision Song Contest. More details about the upcoming edition to follow soon!" |

  TVR confirms that Romania will participate in the upcoming eighteenth edition of North Vision Song Contest!  Germany confirms participation at the forthcoming North Vision Song Contest!
 NDR can confirm that Germany will not be missing the 18th edition of the successful competition.
Despite some rumours that a popular band would represent the country, it was also revealed that Bundesvision Song Contest 18 will determine the next entry. The national selection will consist of one grand final.
