 PARTICIPATION + ARTIST CONFIRMED!
Even though  Egypt failed to qualify to the final earlier this evening, ERTU decided to not give up and confirmed the Egyptian participation in the 19th edition of North Vision Song Contest. They also announced that Sylvia Yacoub will represent the country. Sylvia Yacoub moved at young age to the  USA. She participated in 3rd edition of The Voice, where she reached the top 10. After her participation she worked on her EP ''Vertigo'' which was released last year. Sylvia has said she's really excited to represent Egypt and that she can't wait to announce her entry.

Real or fake?Copenhagen, Denmark โ Despite the fact that Denmark is still to confirm their participation in the upcoming edition of the Northvision, earlier today a list surfaced online with the names of the artists that have been selected to confirm in the next edition of the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. Following the leak of the artists, DR has neither confirmed or denied the rumors and is still to confirm the country's participation in the contest. However, due to the leak of the list, it is expected that the broadcaster will confirm the country's participation soon. |

 Estonia confirms!
Tallinn, Estonia - The general management of ERR (Eesti Rahvusringhรครคling) has just
confirmed that Estonia will be present at the upcoming edition of the North Vision Song Contest.- North Laul 19 -North Laul 19 will be, as usual, the way the country will select its song for the competition.
 We're once again planning one big show, and we're ready to rock whole Europe with it!
Preparations are currently on-going, but stay tuned during the next few weeks for
any further information.  - Mr. Hellesburg, Estonian Head of Delegation.
Rikko Saaltud, the Head Producer of North Laul stated that the show itself may be "somehow improved to fit
the Estonian audience demand", however the general concept will be obviously kept the same.
Moreover, the national broadcaster will release details on how to submit songs for the national selection soon.

 Spain confirms withdrawal Today, the Spanish delegation decided to take a break for at least one edition after a several of attempts to find sponsors without any luck. The interest among Spanish people have been low as well, especially during this edition of the North Vision Song Contest, and the national selection which was held in order to choose the entry. So therefore, TVE has decided to take a short break from the contest in order to save money and work on increasing the popularity of the contest in Spain. |
