 NHK already had plans to switch the HoD to another user if it was possible, this because the original HoD barely had time to give IMF the time it deserves.
However, since the continental system got removed, it will no longer be possible. This is not to be missunderstood with a disagreement with the system changes, NHK stated that they see the reason behind it and understand it perfectly.
Anyway, we thank the host for giving us the chance to participate for at least one edition and we wish the best to him in the future of this contest.  |

  Jednotka announce on 17 March that Slovakia will host a National Selection. But Jednotka on 17 March cancel the National Selection. The Slovakian will selected internally. And Jednotka has select their representative: is.. For the 4th time Celeste Buckingham will represent us in the 38th edition.   |

 Despite their NQ, The Croatian broadcaster announces its participation in IMF38. The method of choosing our contestant will be a small NF with an open poll. More details soon. Just reposting this so no one will take  from me. The NF will start soon. |

 Turkey confirms
TRT confirms the Turkish participation at IMF #38. As Turkey qualified to the semi finals, and the continental system has been removed, the country will be seen for sure in the 38th edition.
However an internal selection will select the entrant. Stay tuned for more! |
