At the moment, they can only choose between one of the remaining free countries (there are a few). However, more nations might have a new HoD in the near future. do you think it's fair? We don't need to debate on that, there was a poll and the majority wanted this option to get finalized.

After wise considerdation, the IBU decided to present the three most suitable options, but eventually left the possibility to discuss different approaches. If more people would've thought the same way, the result would've been different. I see why you aren't satisfied with the outcome, yet it's a democratic result which we all have to accept - no matter if we agree with it or not.

Most of the participants have a European country and that's why this is the result. they wouldn't really mind having 3 SF's or maybe even 4 QF's (the way I suggest you in the thread), while me and probably some other HoD's which won draws for non-European countries got screwed with this option. You should've thought of it more through before making it an option.

The "let's kick out all non-European countries" option won by 2 votes. That isn't really a decisive outcome, is it? And what happens if a non-European country wins this edition?

You should've thought of it more through before making it an option. You got the point. As much as I want to please everyone with the contest's developement, sometimes just not possible. Besides, no, I did not have to think about it as it wasn't me deciding on the format's fate. The "let's kick out all non-European countries" option won by 2 votes. That isn't really a decisive outcome, is it? And what happens if a non-European country wins this edition? The option with the most votes wins. If - let's say - option A would've won by the same margin and European HoDs would complain, you would bring up the same argument, wouldn't you? If Australia or a country not located in the new IBU broadcasting area wins, the second placed country hosts the contest (in case of the really really unrealistic possibility of two nations that aren't eligible to host manage to reach the top two, the highest-placed European country automatically hosts the contest).

After serious discussions with the former HoDs of Moldova, Elena and Olesea Croitoru, it was decided that Moldova will not withdraw and that Elena and Olesea Croitoru would become again the official HoDs of Moldova, according to www.infotag.md! Moldova is mine we never had any discussion about a switch on hoD

Can I just take one of the free countries or do I still need to apply for the waiting list?
