Densent, Sirenforest- It has been announced that The Birthday Massacre's song will be chosen by a national selection titled "Grand Fiesta Sirenforest: The Birthday Massacre". Five of their songs were chosen by SFTV to take part in a selection to determine their entry for Fantasia Contest #8.

  Lidonia confirms!The Lidonian broadcaster just confirmed their participation for the 8th edition of the Fantasia contest. This decision came for many as a surprise after the young country failed to qualify to the final in the current edition held in Sirenforest. The method of selection was also presented, a National Selection called Lidonia's Choice should decide the countries representative for the next edition. "We cannot release anymore information sadly, as we're still in talks with some of the artists and also the FBA, *coff* approve pls *coff* but we're looking forward to a great selection, which will hopefully end up in us sending an act which can represent us in a respectable manner."

 VÉRITÉ FOR DÝRIA!
DRTV has decided tonight to reveal their artist for the 8th edition of Fantasia Contest in a special show hosted by Nene Leakes and Ragnhildur Steinunn.
A few weeks ago, it was rumoured that a returning artist would represent Dýria for the first time, however DRTV refused to comment on the speculations.
However, today the rumours were confirmed. Vérité, who got Dýria's best result ever in the 5th edition, has agreed to participate again in the contest. She confirmed this on Fantasia with Nene & Ragnhildur this evening, stating;
"To think that I only participated a few editions ago is crazy. However after the semi final results of this edition I accepted the proposal by DRTV as I still love this contest with all my heart. I am so grateful to have a second chance to participate!"
Although DRTV confirmed that the song would be internally selected, it was actually untrue as the broadcaster decided to hold a national selection called: "Lögnin yfir..." (with the artist's name in the title).
Vérité has prepared 2 songs for the event. However, Lögnin yfir Vérité will not begin until after the grand final results.

  DANSKANKSOVA WILL NOT GIVE UP Despite 4 non-qualifications in a row, marked by "Amazing", "Black Hole Sun", "How" and "Brennisteinn", DURT does not give up and confirms their participation at the following edition of Fantasia Contest!
The HoD has not given any further detail on their participation, but a leaked collage with the photos of Florence + The Machine, Aurora, Perfume Genius, Soley, Angel Olsen, Arca and Elif indicates that the broadcaster has already decided on the participants of the National Selection.

I ended up in this Forum thread by accident and got curious about how it works. Nowadays, I take part in the SuperVision Song Contest but I'm interested in joining a second Contest and this one got my atention. Could someone please send me a PM explaining me how it works and if it would be possible for me to join this edition or maybe the next one?

June to September 2017 and as announced two weeks earlier, the name of the singer
representing Lakadamia was going to be announced on the 10th of May, and eh,
we are on the 10 May so...
We are ready to reveal the name of the singer representing the country in  FC #8, which is... LOÏC NOTTET
Loïc Nottet is a 21yo singer born in the city of Şarleroiy, on the territory of Manto du Nord,
Musically talking, the singer is kind of new on the arena,
but he's known on the stage since 2014, when he won The Voice Lakadamia.
Then in 2015, he represented his territory onto a Lakadamian music festival,
where he got the 4th place with his song Rhythm Inside.
Also, at the end of the year, he won it's second show, the local Danse avec les Stars,
with a record of 68% given by the voters during the final vote.
And then in 2016 he announced that he was going to released his first album Selfocracy,
which comes out at the 31st of March, and as of now, his album and
some of his songs are leading the Lakadamian charts.
Concerning his entry, it was confirmed that his entry was selected internally,
and that it will be revealed in June. Also, the song is in Engju. |
