Česká televize announced after the results of the 2nd semi-final in a press release that

Czech Republic will be seen in the next edition of the North Vision Song Contest.
Selection method will be announced after the results of the Grand Final.

Algeria's qualification from the second semi-final of North Vision Song Contest #22,
it was confirmed that Algeria will participate in the next edition.

Algerian Music Festival will return with its third edition to select country's next act.

Meanwhile, we wish good luck to The5 in the Grand Final, where they will compete 24th,

PARTICIPATION CONFIRMED!

SVT has just confirmed

Sweden's ongoing participation in the North Vision Song Contest.
To determine the entrant for the 23rd edition, the country will return to the old format of Fantasifestivalen with a few small changes.

The Head of Delegation,

Jan Björkman, said:
"Loreen being one of the favourites to win the competition leaves us no other choice than to continue our participation in the contest.
We also decided to change the selection process to the old format due to the huge amount of submissions received.
Because of time issues, a few small changes to the voting and the way of presentation will be made.

Preparations for the upcoming edition of Fantasifestivalen are ongoing and more details are expected to be revealed soon."

RTSH confirms Albania's participation in NVSC #23!

After qualifying in NVSC #22 with Edona Vatoci's "Hala", RTSH can reveal that they're ready and prepared for the upcoming edition!

The HoD of Albania has commented on this:

We always had high hopes on Edona and her crew in Sofia, and after seeing our semi final, we were prepared on everything that could happen.
We are still super happy that Europe gladly allowed us to enter the Grand Final of NVSC #22, and we are prepared to give them more in #23.
We have yet to decide whether we will use a internal or a national selection for #23,
but all I can say is that the submissions are currently opened, and we're gonna judge everything before going into a conclusive conclusion.

LRT CONFIRMS LITHUANIAN PARTICIPATION!

Today

Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT) has confirmed that despite unexpectedly failing to qualify for the grand final, the nation will be present at the upcoming 23rd edition of the North Vision Song Contest. The Delegation members did not hide they were disappointed by the recent failure as the broadcaster was hoping for another high result from the wonderful

GJan.

The singer herself has also expressed her thoughts saying "We did our best and I'm not hiding I am sad for not making it into the final. We brought home 9th place after our first participation and a TOP10 spot after the second one. I guess North Vision is not for me anymore and I tend to think "Wild" was my last try ever in NVSC. Now I am really going to focus on my debut album which is due to be released soon."

The broadcaster has also confirmed that despite another failure, they will keep on developing their national selection format Northvizijos, which has attracted a lot of "really strong contenders" last time and is expected to do so again this edition. The spokesperson has revealed that "few former NVSC participants have already expressed their interest in returning" and that the competition shall be "exciting". More information is to be released later.

Russia Confirmed?

There are rumours that Russia will surely withdraw from next edition. But the HoD can tell you that they are not true. We haven't decided yet whether we will participate or not. Decision will probably be made after the full results of this edition. Surely know with two broadcaster behind the acts, it more likely that Russia will participate as if one don't want to participate the other take it over alone instead of doing it together. But for now we are still considering everything until the results are out.
