Roland Garros 2017 - Vremd Open [organised by FTF]

OPENING (First Day)

The opening ceremony for the first ever tennis tournament in Fantasia was held in the 22 of July, at 19:00 in the Roland Garros Stadium in the capital of De Vremdspongeln, Koppan. The stadium has a capacity of 24,000 seats, and the opening ceremony attracted 21,500 spectators, which is a really high number. The ceremony was also broadcasted live in De Vremd 1, our main television channel and more than 3 million people followed the celebration from their TVs.

Theme song

How will the championship work exactly?

The stadium has 4 courts, meaning that each matchday we will see 4 matches of Men's Individuals and 4 matches of Women's Individuals. The Doubles' category will be hosted after these first two categories are finished.

To win a match, the player has to win 2 sets overall (same with the Women and the Men). The winner of the match will go to the next round. The 2 eliminated acts in the Semi-Finals (Top 4) will have the chance to compete again to get the Bronze Trophy.

17 countries have applied to the tournament, but since there are only 16 spots, Scandavia and Decoria will compete with a joined team, meaning that Scandavia will provide the male and Decoria will provide the female competitors to this joined team (same situation at the Doubles').
