There's little surprise here, but TL:FR has announced
that Frootania will be in the ninth edition once again.
Stating increased funds and support from the population
as the contest gains popularity among the Frootish people
as well as acknowledgement from the newly elected government.
"We're really glad that this world has accepted us ever
since we decided to take part as an independent country,
but our debutant second place remains to be our best place
to date. That can be improved upon!"
As  Frootania opted for an internal selection with Anna Mae last time, it's time for ..
Frootania is one of the most culturally diverse places
on this planet; as a multi-national state, it is our
task and pride to show-case exactly that.
This early revelation happened after an alleged
leak put in effect by the  Valvetian hackers
that too forced the Frootish broadcaster to reveal
"Savages" earlier than scheduled last edition.
Hence, the setlist with the artists was immediately
revealed to cure the damage done by the intruders.

A new and revolutionary feature of this selection is that
the selection format is a progressive one, it unlocks
more songs to be voted on upon reaching enough votes
in the previous round.
Effectively, this reduces the artists round per
round. However, the more advanced an artist gets,
the larger the pool of songs able to be voted upon
gets as well!
Example: Second round artists will have two songs per artists, unlike only one song in the first round.
However, half of the artists will be eliminated by this point already. This progresses until in the
final round, one artist with six songs remain to be chosen as the new entry.

Despite the failure to qualify also at the 2nd appearance in FC,  Lidonia confirms their ongoing participation at Fantasia's biggest show. Another national selection will determine the next entry for Lidonia, most likely a second edition of Lidonia's choice will be held. But the broadcaster ensured that the amount of songs used will be less than last edition.

 Achróa has selected their entry!After "long" deliberation and discussion, the archipelago's
broadcaster has decided that the best course of action is
to send an act that has previously tried to represent the
nation in the Fantasia Contest before... with the same song
they tried with.
STA has chosen this entry for a myriad of reasons - as stated
earlier, the song's "compositional originality" makes it stand
out among the rest. The emotion and excellence of the
whole song gives it the necessary qualification and standing
to represent a nation which prides itself on pioneering and
authentic music.
And although the song may be a bit too recent in terms of
exposure to the contest, that certainly doesn't hinder it.
Many people in Achróa have called the song's robbery in
its national final "simply robbed" because it faced up against...
ONUKA.Which means the entry that will represent Achróa in Danskanksova is:Kishi Bashi | In FantasiaHere's something I would just like to say about this entry:
I really really really want you to listen to it the whole way through even if it is 7 minutes long. May sound like some sympathy shit but it's worth it.
When I first heard this I was taken aback like woah. This is some deep music. And it is.
No recap slot would ever show this song justice - there are so many different phases to this song that you need to listen to it in full to understand it.

  Evergreen confirms with an entry! EBC-IAR can confirm the country's presence in the upcoming edition in Danskanksova. Not only is the contest exceptionally popular in Evergreen, but following the top 5 placement of Allie X, there is practically no reason why Evergreen should not attend the contest next edition. After careful deliberation within the broadcaster, a decision regarding the next Everish entry has been made. While another edition of Melody Grand Prix was considered, following the announcement that Evergreen would be automatically qualified to the final, EBC-IAR has made the decision to go out on a limb, sending one of the more obscure artists that had originally been considered for the national selection. Without further ado, EBC-IAR can reveal that the entry, which will represent the nation in Danskanksova is...  Chelsea Wolfe, born November 14, 1983 in  Crystalfall is an underground Everish singer, songwriter and musician. Chelsea's first album, The Grime and the Glow was released in 2010 and received critical acclaim for blending elements of gothic rock and folk music. Her next release the following year, Apokalypsis was also well received by critics. She has since also released two further albums, Pain is Beauty in 2013 and Abyss in 2015. Her newest release, Hiss Spun is expected to drop in September of this year. Chelsea's style is dark and gloomy, with her music largely falling into the category of goth rock, though incorporating elements of folk and metal, as well as electronic music. She had grown up in a musical household, as her father was a member of a country band. Because of this, she started singing as early as 9, though didn't start her career as a musician until 2009. She always had a fascination with gothic styles and fashion, as she has said that the first music she ever wrote were "gothy R&B songs". EBC-IAR wishes the best of luck to Chelsea in Danskanksova, where she will be automatically qualified to the final.  EVÄMAA CONFIRMS FOR FC 9, REACTS TO JENNI VARTIAINEN'S WINMIDIMERI - The results of FC #9 were met with reservation in Evämaa after technical difficulties at Telemaa headquarters rendered the country's votes unusable. However, once Danskanksova was revealed as the winner, celebrations broke out around the country that native Evämaian Jenni Vartiainen had won! The Government of Evämaa has reached out to the government of Danskanksova to extend official congratulations on behalf of the entire country.
Meanwhile, Evämaa's actual entrants, All Time Low, were congratulated for making it to the borderline of qualification and earning the most points out of any non-qualifier. However, fans' goodwill quickly turned to rage at the Evämaian delegation for letting Jenni Vartiainen's requests to participate for Evämaa go ignored for seven editions before heading to a different country. Indeed, a riot broke out at the airport when the HoD and other Telemaa officials deplaned and met the horde of fans.
As a result, Telemaa has done two things:
1) Telemaa has confirmed Evämaa's participation in FC 9 in Danskanksova 2) Telemaa has dissolved the HoD system of assembling a delegation and has instead created a panel of five ordinary Evämaian citizens to organize the country's participation in the future Stay tuned for the latest updates from Evämaa! i still hate myself for being a FOOL |

 Kingdovania confirms participation in Danskanskova #9!
Despite being one favourites last edition, and failing in the semi final,
KRTV confirmed that they will continue their participation in the Fantasia Contest.
No selection process has been revealed, and is to be decided by the broadcaster
in the next coming days. |
