 Good afternoon Europe!  HRT is calling with great news that Croatia WILL be competing in the upcoming edition in  the Netherlands!
The entry will be selected internally and rumors have it that the representative may have already graced an NVSC stage!!

 Today, the Cypriot broadcaster  CyBC confirms the country's return in the 26th edition of the North Vision Song Contest!
Prior to the 26th edition, Cyprus had participated in the North Vision Song Contest twenty-two times since its first entry in #01. It's best placing was sixth, which it achieved in #22 with the song "Feel Alive" performed by Anavae. Cyprus' least successful result was in #13 when it didn't manage to qualify from the Pre-Qualification Round with the song "Gia Poso Akomi" by Stella Kalli. In #24, Cyprus failed to qualify to the final after selecting Finding Kate to represent the country. In May 2018, the withdrawal from the #25 contest was announced, the broadcaster cited the public opinion regarding the Cypriot financial crisis and budget restrictions as factors that influenced this decision.
For #26, CyBC chose a hybrid selection process where the artist will be chosen internally while the song will be chosen with a national final. Without further ado, the next Cypriot representative is.. SOUND OF THIEVES  Phoebe Pope and Jan Bures, known under the stage name Sound of Thieves, is a Cypriot-British duo emerging from Nicosia, Cyprus.
Since forming in 2014, Sound Of Thieves have been turning heads wherever they go. Using just a small loop-station and an electric bass as the backbone for their sound, the duo creates huge musical textures, along with hypnotizing beats and searing vocals that captivate and mesmerize listeners everywhere.
Northvision Song Project 26: Sound of Thieves will be hosted to decide the song Sound of Thieves will perform and will include songs from their new EP. |

Lebanon debuted in the fifth edition of the Northvision Song Contest, with Hafdal Ahlam, and had won the competition on it's debut,
following by hosting the competition in Beirut for the 6th edition. Since there, Lebanese entry in the contest is quite mixed, with only another top 10,
a 2nd place at the 14th edition, and a total of 8 finals, the last being in the 24th edition.
In the 25th edition, in Casablanca, Morocco, Lebanon was represented by Xriss, and her entry was Black Dress,
unfortunately it didn't managed to get to the final, finishing 15th out of 19 Contestants in the first Semi-Final.

 Russian Confirmation Moscow, we can confirm that Russia will be present in the upcoming edition in the  Netherlands. Even tho the interest under the artist are quite low as a participation in the PQR is high likely, we are going to put all our effort to put a representant forward to represent Russia in the upcoming edition. THE FAROE ISLANDS CONFIRM!
KVF announced earlier this evening that the Faroe Islands are going to compete in the upcoming North Vision Song Contest. With big excitement, Daniel Ólafur Arnalds announced the return of the popular National Selection "Sangur vár til NVSC" for the 26th edition of the North Vision Song Contest.
The selection will consist of one show with 6 acts presenting their entry. There will be a national Faroese jury and 5 international jury members making up 50% of the result and the Faroese televote making up the other 50% of the result. The act that receives the most points overall will be flying to the Netherlands and represent the Faroe Islands on the big stage. More information, songs and acts will be revealed at a later date. Morocco confirms for the 26th edition

As the new Moroccan delegation for the North Vision Song Contest has been finalised, 2M is finally able to confirm that Morocco will continue to participate in the contest as the country begins its new musical chapter.
The switching of the delegation was postponed given Faouzia's victory in the 24th edition, which meant 2M would take the rights to host the contest. As hosting a contest on this scale involved mass and intricate planning, 2M was unable to take any risks and so all members of the previous delegation opted to stay in until the closure of the 25th edition in Casablanca.
Morocco's hosting of the North Vision Song Contest was a huge success for the arts and tourism industries, generating so much revenue never witnessed before in such a time span. Subsequently, the broadcaster now has more than sufficient funding to continue their journey in NVSC.
Faouzia's victory and the hosting of the 25th edition have rejuvenated the interest and fandom of one of the contest's more "outcast" countries. Throughout the 25th edition, the delegation held informal meetings with members of Moroccan fanclubs - à la OGAN Maghrib - and forums as well as providing surveys for the general public on the 2M website in order to see what direction the country should take now.
The responses were clear. The public and fans wanted to see more representation of the rough gems that Morocco has to offer in comparison to (still highly respected) established and diasporic acts. The new delegation will make this their top priority for the future.
In the meantime, 2M also confirmed today that an entrant and song have already been internally selected by themselves and approved by the North Broadcasting Union. Rumours suggest that the entry reveal has been scheduled in a month's time for September 16.

The  broadcaster finally spoke about the possible leak about their selected artist. TV2 officially confirms that Tóth Andi "Andee" IS NOT returning to the contest oh at all. Although one thing was right in the leak. The entry is definitely by a solo female artist. That's all the broadcaster revealed by far. Stay tuned for more news from Hungayry. |

Albania confirms for NVSC #26
The new Head of Delegation said: ''We can confirm our presence at NVSC party'' 
The NVSC delegation are pleased to announce that there will be an Albanian act in NVSC. An INTERNAL selection will be held.
Today the Albanian team behind the 26th North Vision Song Contest, in The Netherlands, announced that there are some talks with different names from uknown artists to big super stars in Albanian capital Tirana at unknown location. The date of our entry will be mid september. So stay tuned!
