Sorry, I don't even have to listen to know that I dislike it because the song title says already enough (don't think there's ever been at least one of these Eastern "godess songs" that I liked...)

However I obvs took a listening and must say that it's too messy and annoying. :/

LATVIAN SONG
FOR THE 27TH NORTH VISION SONG CONTEST

12/16/2018, RIGA - The Latvian broadcaster LTV has concluded their song search for this edition. Without further delay here is the Latvian participant!

NEON SATURDAYS

Originally formed in 2012, the group comes from Sigulda, a tiny and very scenic town of about 17,000 residents which is located about thirty miles from the Latvian capital city Riga.

Their music is primarily focused on subjects related to the human condition, such as subjective feelings, thoughts, and experiences of the modern human being, and a deep sense of trying to understand the world that is rapidly changing around us. As a result of some of the band members struggling with depression, Neon Saturdays are large proponents of healthy living and maintaining proactive approaches towards coping with the personal struggles of life. Through music and creativity, it helps the band channel a sense of calm and peace of mind within themselves and with the rest of the world.

The band and LTV went through the choices of the songs that were submitted and can reveal the chosen song below:

"GRAVITY"

Speaking about the track, vocalist Andris Evelis says, “Gravity should encourage people to take a good look at the dynamics of their own life – daily rhythms, patterns of behaviour and numerous habits that slowly take us where they do. This song tells the story of an ambitious person who is having a hard time accepting that the real world has limitations that can’t be suspended. A lot of effort is put in to try and break free of this down-force. The song ends with the protagonist reaching a deeper understanding that love and peace is what we as human beings truly need. Most of us aim to achieve these things by striving for material gains, overdoing and over delivering with hopes that somebody will notice and acknowledge that we are special.”
