 GEORGIAN ACT FOR ODESSA HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED!
The Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) has finally announced their entry for the upcoming North Vision Song Contest, held in Odessa. Songwriters and performers, who have a proven track record of success in the music industry were invited to submit a song to be considered to represent Georgia in Ukraine.
Head of the Georgian delegation said:  We were really proud of the Georgian performance in Rotterdam last edition. Months of work went into planning our North Vision act, bringing together the various audio and visual elements, from song arrangement to lighting design. For the upcoming edition we wanted to produce a world-class act that will make us proud on stage in Odessa. 
In the Netherlands, Nina Sublatti returned to represent Georgia for the third time along with The Mins. They performed "Spiritual" on the Dutch stage and brought back their homeland to the Grand Final to record a satisfactory 21st place result.
Now, they had the honor of announcig their successors.
ANANA KAYE
MARIE
Anana Kaye will represent Georgia at the 27th North Vision Song Contest with "Marie".
Anana Kaye is a Georgian duo currently based in USA, featuring Anana Kaye (Anana Katsadze) and Irakli Gabriel (Irakli Gaprindashvili). Anana Kaye started performing in the US upon her move to New York in the spring of 2014 and quickly earned accolades from listeners and fellow musicians for her soulful, husky voice and heartfelt delivery of songs. Prior to her move to the US, she was singing in various bands in Georgia. She has performed live on national radio and TV.
Irakli Gabriel, sometimes also referred to as “Dr. Duende”, has been a presence on NYC music scene for the last decade. He has played and recorded in several bands, notably as a member of acclaimed singer-songwriter Freddie Stevenson’s project “Midnight Crisis”, with whom he has also co-written over a dozen songs. His other collaborations include Julia Haltigan, Jacque Ryal, Emily Zuzik, Deni Bonet and an LA based band Diana.
"MARIE"
Although stating the likes of Van Morrison, Emmylou Harris and Kris Kristofferson as influences, their single “Marie” presents the lush confluence of post-rock and ambient nuances shrouding their beautiful singer-songwriter intentions. The song opens with a dark instrumental that lasts over 50 seconds. When Anana finally enters, she makes it clear she wants to arouse emotions and aesthetic feelings.

After an intense show of 12 musical acts from around the Netherlands a winner has been decided!
The winner of NoordVisie Song Festival 09 is...
"Black Velvet Sun" - My Indigo My Indigo is the beautiful and raw result of two years of retreat, healing and exploration. It was her opportunity to get out of the limelight and come to terms with hardships in her personal life, and take a break from the strain of touring the world as the singer of the internationally successful rock band, Within Temptation.  Sharon den Adel had this to say on her win: "Black Velvet Sun" will be performed in the 1st half of the 1st semi final.

Poland has chosen it's entry for North Vision Song Contest #27 !
After a long time of the selection proccess, we have a winner. The winner received 45,83% of votes.

Oslo, Norway • 13 January 2019 Last night the 24th edition of Den Norsken Sangen, one of the longest-running national selections in the history of the contest concluded with a very close battle to the top 2. NRK is proud to present the next Norwegian hopeful: EMILIE NICOLAS • "WILD ONE" Astrid S managed to come second in the national selection for the third time and Emilie Nicolas got the ticket to represent Norway in the North Vision Song Contest 27 in Odessa, Ukraine after getting 164 points, 1 more than the runner-up.
Emilie Nicolas Kongshavn is a Norwegian singer-songwriter from Bærum. She released her debut single “Pstereo” in 2013, and made an immediate impact on the Norwegian music scene. Her debut album Like I’m a warrior (2014) was released shortly thereafter, and went straight to number one on the Norwegian album chart. Emilie is both pop, R&B and electronica – wrapped in the sensibility of jazz.
Amid all these positive events, Emilie suddenly went quiet. Illness forced her to take a break from music and limelight – until 2017. Emilie is finally back, with her new album, Tranquille Emile. The making of the album has been an incredibly open and inclusive process.
"Wild One" is part of this album and written by Anders Opdahl, Eivind Helgerød, Nicolay Tangen Svennæs and Emilie herself and also the shortest Norwegian entry ever.
