  Estonia confirms!Despite not only failing to qualify in its return but also being set to compete in the PQR for NVSC 29,  Estonia confirms it’s ongoing participation! Due to being forced to compete in the pre-Qualification round the broadcaster decided to select internally in order to cancel any time constraints in advance. |

 MOLDOVA CONFIRMS!
Today, TRM has confirmed the  Moldovan participation at the upcoming twenty-ninth edition of North Vision Song Contest held in  Ireland! It's also confirmed that Moldova will hold a National Final with 10 Songs which means that the popular selection method AVEM will return after selecting internal for one edition due to the lack of time and money! More info will be revealed very soon.

 Ireland to kick off the season!Shortly after the Final results of the North Vision Song Contest 28, held in  Bern, RTÉ decided to be the first broadcaster to announce their entry for the upcoming edition which they will host for the first time. Thousands of people celebrated country’s victory last night and today the airport was full of supporters who welcomed Lyra back to her homeland with the trophy.
Also today, after a press conference held at RTÉ’s headquarters, it was revealed who will fly the flag of our country in the next edition. She will travel from the other side of the world, with a banger written especially for the contest.

  FLAVIA  Flavia is an electronic singer-songwriter and producer. She was born and grew up in Ireland, and has lived in just about every corner of the US before landing in Los Angeles, where she is currently based. Despite living in United States, she declared herself that she feels proud of her Irish heritage and will travel a long way to Europe again just to perform in the biggest contest in the world. Egypt returns to the contest
Cairo - 7 July, 1845EET
After successive bad results and an internal delegation crisis that led to Egypt's forced withdrawal, ERTU has finally been given permission to return to the contest - although they will be doing so with a greatly reduced budget and with much less resources.
Egyptian fans of the song contest have long vied for authentic Egyptian acts to be sent to the contest, rather than its diaspora, which makes up the majority of its entrants. With ERTU's announcement that it may not have the ability to pursue international artists with Egyptian roots in the near future, hope for 100% Egyptian acts has been amplified.
ERTU also announced today that they have already selected an entry, and that it will showcase ethnic Egyptian music all while being modern as well. The entry will be announced in due course, although probably not for another month or so considering that Egypt does not need to go through the pre-qualifying round (considering there is one).
ERTU also promised that the entry is completely unique to North Vision, describing it as "some sort of avant-garde jazz."

 After four non-qualifications in a row, the last one leading to a new PQR, Latvia and their new delegation have no other option: they must try to go as far as possible in the competition!
So Latvia will be present in Ireland for the 29th edition of North Vision Song Contest.
Due to the high chances that a PQR will take place, a national selection is unlikely and the Latvian entry will probably be chosen internally. |
