FMST has today announced its participation in the upcoming seventeenth edition of the Fantasia Contest held in Decoria. After a successful sixteenth edition, it can be confirmed that FlírskSong will be kept as the selection method for this edition. Insider sources have stated that several well known names inside the Flírsk music industry have applied for the tin tenth anniversary.

  Lanovina goes MISERABLE!Cöhln, 10th August: After weeks of speculation, LTR finally revealed the Lanovian entrant for the 17th Fantasia Contest: it's Kristina Esfandiari, performing under the name Miserable. She was chosen after the artist, who was originally planned to participate, unexpectedly withdrew. According to the HoD however, Miserable, who will perform her song "Loverboy" is a better choice anyway.
Kristina is a 31 year old singer from Cerindboug in northern central Lanovina. She primarily performs with the band King Woman, while Miserable is a solo project of hers. With Miserable, Esfandiari presents a more personal and vulnerable viewpoint and revels in a field of hazy, dreamy doom rock. "Loverboy", which was released on the "Loverboy/Dog Days" EP, is different from most other Lanovian entries. While it is not the first rock entry to represent the nordic nation, it stands out due to its dark atmosphere, sound and lyrics that stand for female confidence and self-determination. The broadcaster acknowledges that the song might be a "risky choice" but an "ear candy gem" either way. After the light and peaceful "Words I Heard", this track almost seems like a polar opposite. We hope Fantasia enjoys it!
