 It's time to discover the winner of the  Latvian selection. Her name is Darja Schabad. She was born in Riga and grew up in Latvia, Germany and United Kingdom. She lived in five countries and can speak four different languages: English, Russian, German and Spanish. She is graduated from the prestigious London School of Economics.  SPECIAL TWIST AND ENTRY REVELATION
As the previous press conference has stated, the  Czech Republic decided to spice things up and apply a special twist to its internal selection process. Now the time has come for the revelation of this surprise.

The country has decided to invite last edition's Top 10 placed countries to cast their votes, and influence the internal selection of the Czech Republic.
We'd like to hereby say a massive thank you to each and every country that has accepted our invitation and voted in our selection.
The jury consisted of:  Norway (Vaios ),  Germany (Julian ),  Iceland (Dylan ),  Sweden (Jan ),  United Kingdom (kev ),  Finland (linux620 ), Estonia (Matilda ),  Slovenia (Anesović ),
as well as our lovely replacement voters: regular NVSC flop and radio gaga x  Denmark (Dimitris ), and land of sushi-I mean pasta  Italy (ClassifiedCat )

The selection was won (with an overwhelming majority) by Papyllon, performing
What About Tonight.
! HOWEVER !
The entry had to be disqualified at the very last minute, due to the fact that the band's members are not Czech citizens and therefore aren't eligible to represent the Republic. In such case, the broadcaster ČT reserves the right to take full power over the results, and therefore, a replacement for What About Tonight has been found.
The Czech representative is going to be the 3rd place act of the selection and it is...
RŮŽECALIN & STEIN27 The song is called Roses in English, and it's a very melancholic, experimental song that takes the listeners on an exciting, emotional journey. The performers are both from the city of Brno, and they are already critically acclaimed in the country, having performed at numerous festivals. Calin describes his genre as "alternative R&B", which style is accompanied by STEIN27's "Hip-Hop/Rap" influence. The combination of these two worlds have truly conquered the hearts of the Czech fans, because the entry managed to get to the Spotify Top 50 list and has been viewed by 5 million viewers since the competing songs were released.
The artists have been asked whether they would like to take over the opportunity after Papyllon's disqualification, and the duo has accepted the opportunity, but they did not want to give any interviews or press releases on the matter.

 MALTA REVEALS ENTRY FOR NVSC #31
published on February 23rd, Valletta, Malta.
On the 23rd of Februrary, PBS announced the song that would represent Malta in Norway. Despite not appearing in the final since the 23rd edition with I.AM.WILLOW and the song "Oceanful," the broadcaster is optimistic that the 31st edition could bring a good result to the country.
This edition, the broadcaster has opted for a song sung in both native Maltese as well as English, instead of a song solely sung in English. The genre of the song is described as an experimental electronic dance song that "serves Tower of Terror realness" according to an official from the delegation.
