Mala Rodríguez NOT to perform in Norway!

After a close investigation of the NBU, they concluded "Gitanas" would not be eligible to be serving as the Spanish entry.
Last night comments were made by several NVSC-fans saying: Gitanas sounded way too familiar. An investigation by the NBU concluded it indeed sampled "Look What You Made Me Do" by Joyner Lucas featuring Stefflon Don. The NBU forbid "Gitanas" to represent the Iberian nation in Norway. RTVE did contact Mala to ask whether she would want to replace Gitanas with another song, however she did decline, rightfully so.

Spanish Head of Delegation Juan Ribero released the following statement:
"Is this fair? Not really, after being invested in the regional selection for weeks it feels like this was all for nothing. But we do plan to continue to perform in Norway just to not let the Spanish fans down. I would like to announce that Alfonso La Cruz the Spanish runner-up of the selection, coming in 4th in total will replace Mala Rodriguez in Lillehammer."
Jens Rijnen released the following statement as spokesperson for the NBU:
"We do feel like this situation is not fortunate at all, no fingers were pointed at anyone. Simply because no one was aware. Due to this case not being considered before, the rulebook will be updated. We want to point out that the sneak peeks DON'T serve as the final line-up. As soon as the semi-finals will air, the line-up will be finalized. Spain will again appear in the sneak peeks, the 5th one to be exact and no other allocation will be changed. We hope our decision won't influence the Spanish results a whole lot."
