 DES LIEST DOCH EH KA SAU Austria has just confirmed their presence in the 31st edition of the North Vision Song Contest, after suffering from an embarrassing non-qualification last edition. No further information has been announced by ORF and their Head of Delegation, though some things seem to leak from the broadcaster. Will Austria return to their linguistic roots and send a song sung in Austrian dialect?

 Tunisia has stated that they will not be present at the 31st edition, in order to recalibrate after the recent reformations across multiple Arab delegations - one of which resulted in Egypt's withdrawal. However, it is very likely that Tunisia will return in the 32nd edition. |

 Well, it's beginning After Merk & Kremont failed to qualify in Ireland, Rai have announced that Italy "indeed still intends on participating in the contest in foreseeable future". It has been decided that for the first time in almost a decade, Italy will be choosing its entry through a National Selection.
 Recently, we have not been able to live up to our full potential, which is why Italy must change its selection process in order to account for the more diverse range of our music industry. It's only fair to give more artists the possibility to represent Italy, and to have the public choose our entry for  Norway.
We have narrowed down the line-up to twenty songs, which will further be cut down to twelve or fourteen entries. Among those songs, we have a wide range of songs from uptempo pop tracks to heartwarming instrumentals. We are expecting to have all our artists fully formalised within the next seven days.

Luka Kloser will sing Sweet Sixteen for Luxembourg! With Luxembourg having achieved its worst position in its new era last edition, doubts were placed on a continued participation. However, the broadcaster closed a last-minute deal with an eagar un-named company "aimed to continue to show the diverse music scene [in the country]", which have agreed to solely fund participation.
As such, Luxembourg will make an attempt to qualify for the semi-finals, with a song chosen by an outside committee for the first time in its new era. She is Luka Kloser, the second LA-residing artist to represent the country in a row, whose mother Désirée Nosbusch hosted Eurovision in 1984. She will sing her second single, titled "Sweet Sixteen".(Timeslot: 2:22+)
RTL will premiere the official video this week.

 51 COUNTRIES TO TAKE PART! A total of 51 countries are set to take part in the upcoming 31st edition of the North Vision Song Contest, scheduled to take place in Norway. Croatia, Serbia, Spain and Switzerland are all returning to the competition, with Spain returning after 3 editions of abscence. 5 countries announced that they would not be competing this edition:  Egypt, Faroe Islands, France, Israel and Tunisia. All broadcasters have notified the NBU in time whether they would participate or not. The Pre-Qualification 17 is set to take place with 8 countries competing in it and 3 of them qualifying to the edition's semi-finals. An internal jury was assembled and chose the song from a core group of viable options. Without any further ado, the Bulgarian delegation says hello (again?) to...
DARA!
She returns to North Vision for the first time since her victory ten editions ago, with her new song: "Ella Ella"!
Asked why she decided to return, even with the possibility of losing, DARA responded: "It's been enough years and I have personally matured. I want to show my art to a new generation, a new audience. It matters less the results when you have already proven to those who matter most."
BNT and the rest of Bulgaria wishes her luck on her Norwegian journey!
