LEBANON ABOUT TO END MALEPHOBIA, ARTIST REVELATION.
BEIRUT, 11 APRIL 2020. Hours following the 31 Grand Final Results, and also following the announcement that Lebanon ended 6th in the Pre-Qualification Round, the delegation reacted with those following words:
"Obviously, we're a bit disappointed that Hanine and Salma didn't managed to get to the heart of Europe, but now it's just the time to make Lebanon' doing it's comeback onto the North Vision stage, as we're actually ready to reveal which singer has been selected and who will represent us for the 32nd North Vision Song Contest."
The artist was selected internally, however, the song will be selected through the National Selection, A Song for Lebanon, which will receive a title for this occasion, "The Choice of ...", the dots corresponding to the name of the selected singer.
And therefore, the singer who will represent Lebanon is no other than...
MIKAMichael Holbrook Penniman Jr., known as his stage name Mika is a Lebano/British singer born in Beirut in 1983 from a Lebanese mother and an American father. He and his family lived in Beirut for it's first year, then went to Paris for 8 years and after, to London.
His music career started in 2007, with his album "Life in Cartoon Motion" with songs like "Grace Kelly" or "Relax, Take it easy", then continued in 2009, with "THe Boy Who Knew Too Much, 2012, with "The Origin of Love", in 2015 with "No Place in Heaven", and finally his most recent album, in 2019 "My Name Is Michael Holbrook".
His music career sent him to be a jury member in a various of tv shows, like X Factor Italia or The Voice France, but most importantly, his music career helped him to discover who he is, as for the example, at the 2019 Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards, where he was honored to received the Music Award where the award acknowledged that "after staring down homophobia at the start of his pop career, Mika is now making unapologetically queer music that also processes his past pain." Mika also added later "If I didn’t have music, I would not have been able to understand or deal with my sexuality in the same way. It’s always been at the centre of my writing."
The delegation and Mika have both been available to confirm that the songs for the National Selection will all come from his most recent album. A set of stuff about these songs will be revealed within the upcoming week, until the selection show, which will start next Saturday.

Azerbaijan will take part in the next edition of the North Vision Song Contest! After a pleasantly surprising 19th place brought by NARMEEN last edition, it was more than obvious that the Caucasus country would once again compete in the North Vision Song Contest 32 held in Luxembourg. The viewing figures for the last show were the highest ones since the twenty-second edition.
SELECTION METHOD
"layihə: Northvision" will once again serve as the Azeri national selection this edition with a small change comparing to the last two editions. Differently than the last times, there will be only 2 songs competing in the selection rather than 4 or 10. The participants were already selected, and oh dear, NVSC is ready to have some Azerbaijani slayages! More information will be revealed on a later date.

KVF just announced that the Faroe Islands will return to the North Vision Song Contest after one edition of absence. The island country's broadcaster has set the Top 6 as a goal for the upcoming editions, changing the way of selection completely. The entry for the upcoming North Vision Song Contest will be chosen via an already ongoing internal jury selection, in which 43 songs are reviewed by members of different delegations participating in the North Vision Song Contest. In several rounds, the amount of entries will be lowered until a final entry is found. A revelation date has not yet been set, but the final entry is expected to be presented in mid May 2020.
