 MATCH DAY 7 Match day 7 commenced today with another two matches from each of Groups D to F taking place across the country of  Decoria.
MATCH 31 Decoria (Dimitris) vs.  Llort (MaRtIn)
Group D opened with yet another match of the host country. Taking place in the capital city, Norfort, in the Norfort Globus, Decoria came up against the team of Llort. The Decorian team managed to score their two goals very early in the game, all during the first half. Despite their efforts to catch up, the Llortish team match did not succeed and the match ended up in 2–0.
MATCH 32 Neocastria (Holland) vs.  Kazkya (Argüello)
The second match from Group D took place in Bjørnskov Stadion in Gladsaxe was between the other two countries of the group: Neocastria and Kazkya, both of whom lost in their first match. Things seemed pretty difficult at the first few minutes, but the Neocastrian team managed to start scoring against Kazkya about halfway through. By the end of the match, the Kazkyan team was defeated by Neocastria 4–0.
MATCH 33 Hwaesonna (Syr) vs.  Vacansa (Ｂ３ＳＴＢＥＡＴＳ)
Group E started off with the match in Hasbjerg Stadion in Hasbjerg between Hwaesonna and Vacansa. The Hwaesonnan team started very confidently and scored a goal already in the first minute. The Vacansan team did not manage to score until the 50th minute, but the Hwaesonnan team had already scored 4 goals by then. At the last minutes, the Hwaesonnan team managed to score their 5th goal with the match ending in 5–1 in favor of Hwaesonna.
MATCH 34 Yeukiwan (мιɴтιѕѕe) vs.  Ninelie (Wysteria)
Group E finished their matches for the day with Yeukiwan and Ninelie playing in DIA Arena in Lillebøl. After their big loss, the Nineliese team were craving for a victory this time. At the beginning, the team was struggling against Yeukiwan, with the latter scoring their first goal at the 10th minute. However, by the end of the first half the Nineliese team managed to overtake them and score two goals. In the second half, the Nineliese team kept their lead and ended the match in a 2–5 in favor of them.
MATCH 35 Qasentria (Chante™) vs.  Kalimann (Francisco)
Group F was the last of the groups of the day. Their first match of the day was between Qasentria and Kalimann. Gladsaxe hosted the two countries in Bjørnskov Stadion. After both teams lost their previous group match, they were both on the edge for a victory. The match started off uneventful, until the 22nd minute when the first goal was scored for the Qasentrian team, which was by the end of the match the only goal scored.
MATCH 36 Drevona (Dominykas) vs.  Sincuerello (Ｊａｋｕｂ)
The stakes were high at the second match of Group F with the two winners of the first two matches coming against in Lillebøl's DIA Arena: Drevona and Sincuerello faced each other in this match. Both teams managed to score their first goals quite early; at the 12th and 15th minutes for Drevona and Sincuerello respectively. Things got heated at the end of the first and the beginning of the second halves. Even though Drevona scored their second goal at the 60th minute, Sincuerello eventually managed to overtake Drevona with the score ending up 2–3.

 Reaction of Prunian coach  Noah Sierras« We had a satisfactory team organization, but some adjustments are still necessary to produce something bigger. Given the match difficulty, earning one point is however already something.
We're actually not exactly in bad shape for what's next, but as our fate is not sealed yet, we will give our best against  Ximbala to enhance it. » |

MATCH DAY 8 As the competition moves on to its 8th match day, we return to  Lanovina.
MATCH 37 Lanovina (Julian) vs.  Moly-Boronia (Queen of Mean (Inactive))
After Lanovina's landslide victory over  Temilosk, a lot of Lanovian fans were excited to see whether the team can keep its energy against a harder opponent. Moly-Boronia, having tied against  Lakadamia, proved to be exactly that. Nevertheless, energised by having the entire country behind their back, Lanovina managed to play a strong match and tie with Moly-Boronia. 3 goals by each team prove that both are a force in this competition. After this game, Lanovina has 4 points while Moly-Boronia has 2.
MATCH 38 Temilosk (.) vs. Lakadamia (Luiri) The 2nd Group G game of today consisted of former host country Lakadamia and newcomers Temilosk. With one having only tied and the other having faced a bad loss, both teams had something to prove in this game. Temilosk was not able to redeem itself, as it faced another clear loss, whereas Lakadamia secured 3 points. Before the last games of Group G, Lanovina and Lakadamia are the top 2 with 4 points each, Moly-Boronia is 3rd with 2 points and Temilosk is last with 0 points.
MATCH 39 Jarea (Matt) vs.  Glacea (Lᴇꜰ) Group H played today too, first up is the game between Jarea and Glacea, hosted in Cöhln. The game was relatively boring, as Jarea managed to score one goal per half while Glacea decided to practice social distancing between its team and the opponents goal. Jarea therefore claims its first 3 points of this cup.
MATCH 40 Namimori (Kinoshita!) vs.  Shkeera (Oisín) This game proved Namimori to be a dominant force in the competition. A clear 6-1 victory against Shkeera and therefore another 3 points mean that Namimori is officially the first country to have qualified for the next round, as it's leading Group H with 6 points after this round. Jarea is 2nd with 3 points, while Glacea and Shkeera have 1 point each.
MATCH 41 Lidonia (Matilda) vs.  Pohunskia (Logan) The 2nd games of Group I kicked off with Lidonia vs Pohunskia, in which the former won with 1-0. This means that Lidonia is the 2nd country to have already qualified for the round of 32. Pohunskia's team contributed to this, as Lidonia's one goal resulted from a penalty.
MATCH 42 Gasandae (Jacob) vs.  Zylofonija (basil) The last game of the day was played between Gasandae and Zylofonija. In a very wild game, both teams managed to score 4 goals, one of the highest ties so far. Either way, both country receive 1 point, meaning that Zylofonija temporarily moves to Group I's 2nd place, while Lidonia did not only qualify already but also won the group.

MATCH DAY 10 Groups A-C had their final matches across the 4 host cities in  Dýria today. These matches are quite crucial, as it will determine our first 6 qualifiers to the next round. However, one thing that we would like to remind you is that the best third places do exist, so the third places in each group could still have a chance to qualify to the next round - 8 will make it in the end. With that being said, here are the results from today's matches.
MATCH 49 Dýria (Dylan ) vs  Dorma (fuerte (inactive) )
The hosts took on Dorma in the Heimalands Völlur in Dyflinnjaborg today. With Dýria losing their recent match to  Aquia, the stakes were high - the hosts would need to either win or draw with Dorma to have a chance to qualify. Likewise, Dorma would need to win over Dýria to stand a chance as well. The first goal of the game came from Dorma, which was surprising as the country hasn't scored a single goal before, around the 33rd minute. Dýria managed to come back and equalize just before half-time. In the second half, both teams managed to score another goal, however, neither were able to come up on top, much to the disappointment of the fans in the arena. With this, Dýria gains a point, leaving them on 4, while Dorma gets their first point, which sadly was not enough to advance. The result of  De Vremdspongeln vs Aquia would determine the fate of Group A.
MATCH 50 De Vremdspongeln (Levi21 ) vs Aquia (Aless ) The last game of Group A was played between De Vremdspongeln and Aquia. This would ultimately determine who would qualify from Group A, as if De Vremdspongeln won, they would end up with 6 points, while Dýria would be on the third place with 4 after today's match. The stakes were quite high - both sides played brilliantly in both halves, both motivated by the idea of their team advancing to the next round. Despite 3 impressive goals from the Vremd side, 2 of them coming in the second half, Aquia managed to surge ahead, scoring 6 goals against them. This is the 2nd time that the Vremd side suffers from such a defeat.
With the result of this game now known, Aquia tops group A with 9 points, while hosts Dýria are the runner ups with 4 points. De Vremdspongeln comes 3rd with 3 points, and still has a chance to qualify, while Dorma ends last in the group with 1 point.
GROUP A STANDINGS:
MATCH 51 Ximbala (Jmain ) vs Prunia (Blandine ) Both Ximbala and Prunia faced off today in Sjóborg. Both teams have proven to be the big players in this group, with Ximbala winning both of their games so far, with Prunia winning their first and their second game ending in a tie. Fans from both side were anxious to see the end result - since if Ximbala won, they would get the full 9 points in their group, but if Prunia won, they would be on top. The match started off with lackluster performances from both teams, until Prunia scored their first goal around the 29th minute mark - this would turn into a second one just before half-time, with 2 others to be scored in the second half despite heavy resistance from the Ximbalans. Despite some good moves from them, they were not able to beat Prunia. With this, Prunia now jumps ahead Ximbala with 7 points, leaving Ximbala on 6 points in the group.
MATCH 52 Levalle (𝐌𝐈𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐋 ) vs  Hikyoto (Euu )
 The last game of Group B saw Levalle take on Hikyoto in Tráway. This game would prove to be crucial - Levalle's World Cup journey kicked off with a loss to Ximbala and a draw with Prunia, and as such the team only had 1 point in Group B. They had to win this match against Hikyoto to stand a chance of being one of the best 3rd places overall. And, Levalle managed to bounce back after their disappointing matches previously and score 6 goals against Hikyoto, with little resistance from their side. The stadium erupted with the Levallese fans cheering their team on, as they finally won their first match of the 2020 FANA World Cup. With this victory, Group B is now complete: Prunia leads the group with 7 points, followed by Ximbala with 6 points, Levalle rising to 4 points and Hikyoto on last with 0 points. Levalle now has a chance to qualify as one of the best 3rd places.
GROUP B STANDINGS:
MATCH 53 Scandavia (Daniel ) vs  Alchten (Lars ) Scandavia and Alchten played their final game of Group C today in Tráway. With both teams being tied with 1 point after their previous matches, either side had to make an impact to stand a chance at qualifying to the next round. Despite some close calls in the stadium, neither side were able to score a goal and some fans felt that the game was quite uneventful. The fate of Group C would be decided by the result of the match between  Juliana and  Sirenforest. Both Scandavia and Alchten finish with 2 points each.
MATCH 54 Juliana (agni ) vs Sirenforest (✨ Forrest ✨ ) The final match of Group C took place in Naoned between Juliana and Sirenforest. Before this game, both Juliana and Sirenforest were tied in Group C with 4 points each and their fate would not be known until the last two games of today. Both teams have shown that they are the big players in this group, with both managing to win at one of their games and drawing in their 2nd. Both teams managed to pull off some impressive moves, but it would be Sirenforest who accelerated ahead of Juliana to win the game with 2 goals, both being scored in the second half of the game, much to the dismay of the Julianoise fans, despite some showing more interest in the Zolciakgate controversy recently. However, with this match done, Group C is now complete: Sirenforest leads the group with 7 points, Juliana comes 2nd with 4 points, while Scandavia and Alchten tied with 1 point; due to their goal difference Scandavia ends up in 3rd place.
GROUP C STANDINGS:
We congratulate Aquia, Dýria, Prunia, Ximbala, Sirenforest and Juliana for directly qualifying to the knock-out stage, while the 3rd placers of each group still have a chance to qualify to the next round by being one of the best 3rd placed teams. Best of luck next time to the others! |

Reaction of Prunian coach Noah Sierras« Well  [...] We can't say that Ximbala was a weak adversary, which is why I couldn't be prouder tonight. With this result, I have even greater confidence in the team. I know that my players are very focused and have big goals for what's next. We managed to snatch the first place of our group, and now we want to dream bigger.
However, even though this victory can be seen as a signal to our future opponents, we must not forget that the rest of the competition will be something else. In the round of 32, we will start from scratch. We will have to play like we did today, or even better. Less than 100% will not be enough. We really want to go further, but we know full well that it will not be easy. We will continue to prepare carefully, as we do since the beginning. » |

MATCH DAY 11 With the group stage nearly coming to an end, Decoria hosted the remaining two matches for Groups D to F. These matches are crucial as they will determine the two countries from each group that will directly make it to the knockout stage. As for the 3rd places, some of them will qualify to the knockout stage as well, depending on the ranking of all the 3rd places.
MATCH 55 Decoria (Dimitris) vs. Kazkya (Argüello) The last match day for Group D opened with another match for the host country; Decoria played against Kazkya, in one of the most intense matches for the country. The teams played in Norfort Globus in Norfort. Despite the good start for the Kazkyan team as they managed to score 2 goals already within the ten first minutes, the Decorian team quickly managed to catch up. The two teams kept scoring goals one after the other. By the end, both teams scored 5 goals each, which resulted in the first draw for the group.
MATCH 56 Neocastria (Holland) vs. Llort (MaRtIn) The remaining two Group D countries faced off as the last match of the group. Taking place in Gladsaxe's Bjørnskov Stadion, the match saw Neocastria coming against Llort. The match started with a surprisingly early goal being scored for Llort at the 2nd minute. The match continued with several close calls for both teams but no goals being scored until the late second half, when Llort managed to score their second goal at the 80th minute.GROUP D STANDINGS:
MATCH 57 Hwaesonna (Syr) vs. Ninelie (Wysteria)
Hwaesonna and Ninelie were first up against in the last match day for Group E. Hasbjerg and Hasbjerg Stadion hosted the two countries in their last group match. Things seemed easy for the Hwaesonnan team who started off confidently and scored their first goal at the 11th minute. However, the Nineliese team managed to equalize things by scoring their first goal as well, just 5 minutes later. The match remained at a tie for a while, until Hwaesonna managed to score the deciding 2nd goal from a penalty shot.
MATCH 58 Yeukiwan (@mintisee) vs. Vacansa (Ｂ３ＳＴＢＥＡＴＳ) Yeukiwan faced Vacansa in the last match for Group E, taking place in DIA Arena, Lillebøl. Despite multiple chances for the team of Yeukiwan to score, they did not manage to score at all during the match. The Vacansan team, on the other hand, managed to defeat Yeukiwan with quite a margin, managing to score 4 goalsGROUP E STANDINGS:
MATCH 59 Qasentria (Chante™) vs. Sincuerello (Ｊａｋｕｂ) Returning once again to Gladsaxe and the Bjørnskov Stadion, the first of the last two matches of Group E was between Qasentria and Sincuerello. With Sincuerello having already two victories from their last two matches, the team was aiming for a third one to secure their top spot. And they managed to do that quite easily, with the team leaving the Qasentriam team behind with no goals scored, while Sincuerello scored a total of 5 goals, with the majority being scored already within the first half.
MATCH 60 Drevona (Dominykas) vs. Kalimann (Francisco) The last match of the day took place in the DIA Arena in Lillebøl. Drevona came against Kalimann. The Drevonan team needed to win or draw in this match in order to secure a direct spot in the knockout stage. They started off really weak, with neither teams scoring in the first half. The second half started off with the Drevonan team more focused which resulted in their first goal being scored. Eventually, the team managed to defeat Kalimann in 3–0.GROUP F STANDINGS: We congratulate Decoria, Llort, Hwaesonna, Vacansa, Sincuerello and Drevona for directly qualifying to the knock-out stage, while the 3rd placers of each group still have a chance to qualify to the next round by being one of the best 3rd placed teams. Best of luck next time to the others!

MATCH DAY 12 Today, the last games of Groups G, H and I took place in Lanovina
MATCH 61 Lanovina (Julian) vs. Lakadamia (Luiri)
The top 2 of Group G prior to the last match day, Lanovina and Lakadamia, opened this match day with a draw. The game was intense, as both teams wanted to seal their qualification with a victory, but in the end both only scored 1 goal. They will therefore end the group stage with 5 points each. As Lanovina has a better goal difference than Lakadamia, it defended its first place and therefore already qualified to the next round, prompting an ecstatic response from the fans at the end of the game.
MATCH 62 Temilosk (.) vs. Moly-Boronia (Queen of Mean (Inactive)) Group G's last game was played between Temilosk and Moly-Boronia. The stakes were high for both teams, as both badly needed a victory. While Temilosk managed to score its first world cup goal, Moly-Boronia prevailed with 3 goals and therefore achieved its first victory of the cup. However, that complicates things for Group G.
As you can see below, Lanovina, Lakadamia and Moly-Boronia all received 5 points, consisting of 2 draws and 1 win each (all against Temilosk). This means that the goal difference breaks the ties. As Lanovina and Lakadamia have a better goal difference than Moly-Boronia, they end up as the group's top 2.
MATCH 63 Jarea (Matt) vs. Shkeera (Oisín)  Group H also concluded today, with Jarea and Shkeera playing in Cöhln, Lanovina's capital. The 2nd half of the game was interrupted by a naked man, painted in Shkeera's colours, running on the field before being detained. Unfortunately, he did not prove to be a good luck charm, as the nation lost 2-0 against Jarea.
MATCH 64 Namimori (Kinoshita!) vs. Glacea (Lᴇꜰ) Group H's last game took place in Ostmont and was played between Namimori and Glacea. Namimori was the first country to qualify for the next round after its previous game against Shkeera. Despite not having to win today, they gave their all and defeated a surprisingly strong Glacean team.
Group H's final results are no big surprise: Namimori and Jarea qualify for the next round with 9 and 6 points respectively. Glacea's and Shkeera's only points come from the tie between the two. Due to the better goal difference, Glacea finishes as 3rd place.
MATCH 65 Lidonia (Matilda) vs. Zylofonija (basil) Just like the previous match, this one included a country that already officially qualified to the next round (and won the group) after its last game: Lidonia. Their opponent was the distant 2nd place of the group, Zylofnija. The fact, that Lidonia didn't have to put in any more efforts to qualify or win the group reflected in its performance: Zylofonija won the game in a clear 1-3 victory, with Lidonia's only goal coming from a penalty.
MATCH 66 Gasandae (Jacob) vs. Pohunskia (Logan) The concluding match of Group I was played between Gasandae and Pohunskia and was quite ferocious. Both teams still had a shot at directly qualifying to the next ground and really gave it their all. At the end of the game, Pohunskia prevailed in a 2-3 victory.
The results of this group were quite close but in the end there were no ties. Lidonia and Zylofonija have officially qualified to the round of 32, while Pohunskia has to pray to qualify as one of the 8 best 3rd places. Gasandae has unfortunately been eliminated.
