The duet is made up by two very familiar faces to the contest.
Edis represented Turkey back in the #13 edition, failing to qualify from the PQR and in the #26 edition along with Serbian singer Emina, reaching the 12th place in the Grand Final.
He will share the stage with another legend of the modern turkish pop music, Gülşen which already represented the country in the #05 edition, failing to qualify for the final and in the #15 edition, also reaching the 12th place in the Grand Final

corandcrank is an Azerbaijani music duo comprised of

Romin Alychanly who formed the group in 2016. Since then, the duo is being considered one of the most popular electronic music artists in the country. It was their first participation in the national selection, where they beat

Greek entry revealed – It's time for revenge!

After Evangelia managed to not only qualify but also win the semi-final thus, bringing to the nation their eighth qualification in a row -longest qualification rate for Greece-, though unfortunately failing to exceed the expectations in the final, coming only eighteenth, viewers were shocked, breaking the record for worse placement of a semi-final winner in a final, after Denmark holding this title for many editions. Despite the low result in the final, the Greek broadcaster ERT revealed that we would perform in Bratislava, no matter what.

Evangelia to wave again the greek flag!

After a very long procedure, ERT decided to go internally, since we used a national selection from the thirty-first edition until now. Many speculations were going around, and viewers were guessing or suggesting names to be given a chance, or a 'second chance'. The broadcaster listened to the thoughts everyone had, and came to a conclusion to ask Evangelia, to return to the competition once again. The singer who had just represented the nation in Batumi, Georgia the previous edition, happily accepted.

Evangelia Psarakis, professionally known as Evangelia, is a Greek-American singer and songwriter, who is no stranger at the North Vision community. Not too long ago, literally, she represented Greece in the thirty-third North Vision Song Contest, held in Batumi, with her international hit "Páme Páme", bringing the nation to their eighth consecutive final. She then was asked to represent once again the nation, stating this as a "friendly revenge" for having such a crazy gap between her two results in the previous contest. It was then revealed that she would sing her newest single "Fotiá" in Bratislava, after getting many positive reactions by her international fans, and the North Vision community.

ERT held a press conference with the representative right after the announcement, where the media had the chance to ask their questions to the singer as well as the Head of Delegation. Before the press questions started, Evangelia gave the following statement:

"I would never imagine I'd be asked to represent our country for a second time in a row. It is such an honour, and I'll do it with pride. We call it a "friendly revenge" due to the big gap between my results, but this is just a joke. I am very proud for my result and very excited and honoured, for the Greek, as well the international community, asking me to return again, giving me the chance to show the world once again my capabilities. I am just glad to meet you all once again, this time in Bratislava!"

ICELANDIC ENTRY REVEALED!

7 November 2020 • Reykjavík, Iceland

After 2 weeks of voting in the

Icelandic national selection, Ferðin til Bratíslava, a winner has finally been found. The voting, as stated by the head of delegation, was similar to that of

Georgia's election results - too close to call, but very exciting.

RÚV participated in a special Super Saturday show which was headed by the

Azeri delegation, where 8 countries (including

Iceland) revealed their entries for the upcoming edition. On behalf of the delegation, we would like to thank the

Azeri delegation for a wonderful show and organization, alongside of course the other countries that revealed their entries.

With that being said, let's meet our participant!

MEET G Y D A!

G Y D A is the stage name of

Icelandic singer

Gyða Valtýsdóttir, who first came to prominence in the 90s as a member of the experimental pop group múm.

Valtýsdóttir released her first album, Epicycle, in 2017 worldwide and even won Album of the Year at the Iceland Music Awards, and Kraumur Music Award. In 2018, she released her first original album entitled Evolution, which was recorded for the most part in

Los Angeles. The album managed to win the Nordic Council Music Prize a year ago.

Describing her journey into music, Valtýsdóttir notes that in an interview with Iceland Review, that:

"I don’t think of myself as a singer-songwriter. I do so many things in music. When I was younger, I would write songs really just for myself. They would be like diaries or something, and I didn’t feel like I needed to share them with anyone because most of the time it was about my own struggles of being human.”

While her album Evolution, from which the

Icelandic entry is from, features Gyða's cello and voice in delicate and shimmering arrangements, she also specializes in other instruments featured on the album:

“I don’t really look at myself as a cellist. I look at myself as a musician, I just happen to play the cello. But if a cello isn’t the right sound, I might look around for something else.”

G Y D A decided to accept the call from the

Icelandic broadcaster to take part in the national selection, Ferðin til Bratíslava alongside 3 other contestants. Despite a very close race, she managed to overcome and defeat returnee

Charlotte Qvale and officially win the right to represent

Iceland in

Slovakia. Unlike Trump in the

United States,

Qvale admitted defeat immediately, stating that she will not rule out another return in the future, for either

Iceland or

Norway. Speaking to RÚV, G Y D A stated that:

Honestly, I wasn't even looking to win the whole selection. I wanted to promote my music to the rest of Europe, and that's why I accepted the call. However, I am not complaining at all. It is an honour to represent my country in the contest, and I really hope I can make my country proud regardless of my result.

With

G Y D A representing

Iceland, this will be the 8th time that

Iceland sends a song in

Icelandic. The last time the language made an appearance in the contest was back in #29, where

Kælan Mikla represented the country in

Dublin. This is perhaps the most unique entry that

Iceland has sent to the contest thus far.

ALGERIAN ENTRY REVEALED!

ENTV are proud to present the act that will represent Algeria in the 34th edition of the North Vision Song Contest. The act was internally selected following an open call for submissions. Head of Delegation Stefan Kayteb stated: "who doesn't love a little flirting?" when describing the song to international media. Algeria will be in the Grand Final for the fourth time in a row, their longest streak of appearances in the final to date.

MEET ADRIEN GALLO

Adrien Gallo is a French musician and actor. Gallo is the son of Jean-Pierre Gallo , director, producer and screenwriter for French television, and Latifa Benaoudia (of Algerian origin ). He is the front man and creator of the band BB Brunes whom he has released 5 albums with and has written tracks for the likes of Hollysiz, Alizee and Yelle. He will represent Algeria in the 34th edition with his solo track "Monokini".

"Monokini" is a fun and flirty track inspired musically and visually by an 80s aesthetic. Accompanied by the singer Khadyak, they profess their budding love for one another through flirty exchanges, including the "forbidden love" of a black and white person together. The song is a deliciously sweet love story that is expressed through pure simplicity - one to just enjoy for what it is - pure cheese!

The song will be performed in the Grand Final of the 34th edition following Algeria's automatic qualification from their result in the previous edition. Head of Delegation Stefan Kayteb said "I hope you enjoy the song as much as I do - sit back, pour your glass of wine and chill out to this gorgeous warming hug of nostalgic love vibes.

PALE HONEY WILL REPRESENT SWEDEN!

After a long and tense voting period, Sweden has finally found its winner.
After Agnes had won the jury voting, Pale Honey managed to climb up the scoreboard by winning the televoting, thus ending up one point above runner-up "Fingers Crossed". They managed to gain 193 points and will therefore represent

Sweden in the North Vision Song Contest 34 in

Bratislava.

This was Pale Honey's debut in Fantasifestivalen and they instantly managed to take a trophy home. You can listen to their winning song "Killer Scene" below!

Guess what we’re sending?

After a long wait, ERR could finally reveal the

Estonian entry which will represent our country in Bratislava. In a drastic change from the songs that represented us in the past few editions, calm folk-songs in Estonian inspired by our traditional music, we went back into the future and updated our sound to a modern electronic dance sound while still keeping some of the mellow feeling our last entries portrayed too. Our artist this edition will be a DJ born as Joosep Jäärvesaar, but he’s more known under his alias. With his songs he managed to get fans around the globe, and were proud to have gotten the opportunity to send him to this contest. Without further ado, our entry is:
