After an unexpected 2nd place finish in  Stockholm, which was brought by the  Lithuanian talent MeidĖ, there were no doubts that the Baltic country would once again participate in the North Vision Song Contest, this time having pre-qualified to the grand final of the thirty-eighth edition. Due to the first qualification since the thirty-first edition, the grand final watching figures reached staggering 78% of all viewers, which served as an indication for the broadcaster, that the country is highly interested in the event. Having acknowledged that hosting a national selection pays off, the second edition of iconic Lietuvos Garsai will be organized. 10 acts will once again take part, keeping the same system as last time.

Given the opportunity to host the national selection even for the smaller Lithuanian cities, four of them were already shortlisted, with the host city being revealed soon. Some news sites claim, that they saw Lithuanian ex-representatives GJan (#07, #14 and #25) and Monique (#24 and #36) talking in the parking lots of Elektrėnai Ice Palace.  Stay tuned!

 Monaco confirms!
Thursday, 3 February • 12:31 Despite a non-qualification in Stockholm, the first under the new delegation, TMC has been quick to confirm  Monaco's continued participation in the North Vision Song Contest for the 38th edition, set to take place in the  United Kingdom.
This news comes following a time of turbulence among the delegation team, which saw a considerable amount of restructuring over the course of the 37th edition, as well as the non-qualification of Julia Jean-Baptiste's "Faux amours" in the first semi-final - the first since edition 33. However, the microstate is determined to get Monaco back to the top.
"It is no secret that this has been a turbulent time for Monaco's participation in North Vision, but nonetheless we are so proud of Julia for an incredible performance - we may not have qualified, but we have no regrets! Looking ahead, we are always brainstorming and thinking of new ways to propel Monaco forward as a force to be reckoned with in this contest, and as such have already been in talks with other broadcasters for a collaborative effort for the 38th edition, which you can expect to hear news on soon."
"In the same way, we would like to extend an offer to provide assistance to any broadcaster that would like some, in any way possible, to contribute to what we are sure will be another fantastic edition of North Vision in the United Kingdom. We are open to all correspondence!"
This positivity and optimism was reflected in the viewing figures for the 37th edition, despite "Faux amours" not quite setting the public's hearts alight. The Monte Carlo Beach Party to celebrate the grand final results was bigger than ever as crowds gathered to celebrate Joy Crookes' triumphant victory, as well as the automatic qualification of  French representative Juliette Armanet. It's going to take a lot more than a non-qualification to dampen the Monégasque North Vision spirit.

  SLOVAKIA CONFIRMS PARTICIPATION IN THE PRE-QUALIFICATION ROUND OF NORTHVISION SONG CONTEST #38
RTVS, National broadcaster of Slovakia in NVSC, has revealed that Slovakia is indeed planning to appear in the Pre-Qualification Round of Northvision Song Contest and that despite really poor results in the previous couple editions, have hopes for a better result this edition even though the stakes and the competition is harder. RTVS also revealed that as the internal selection last edition brought Slovakia their 2nd worst result to date, we should return to the National Selection method. We are hoping for our appearance in the semi-finals in United Kingdom and hopefully finals as well.
So we're bringing back "A Song For Slovakia" but with a smaller version definitely as the time period for the submission for us will be lower. 4 Songs will compete in a 1 show National Selection. Songs aren't decided yet so any submission would be beneficial. You can suggest songs via the Suggestion Thread on the forums or PM-ing the Head of Delegation Wysteria on either Discord or Forums as well. We are really trying from now on harder to bring Slovakia better results with a new delegation and we admit that the help sometimes is needed.

  Georgia will participate in the 38th edition in the United Kingdom!Tbilisi, 3rd February: The GPB, Georgian Public Broadcasting, has confirmed that  Georgia will be competing in the 38th edition of the North Vision Song Contest. After the tragic non-qualification of Pitter J, several protests were held across the country. The Swedish embassy had been burnt to a crisp. Protestors urged the GPB to make the NBU recount the votes. The situation only worsened once the country found out that Georgia placed 16th, which meant that we will have to participate in the dreaded pre-qualification round once again. After finding out that Ireland placed above us by only 2 points, the Irish embassy had also been burnt to a crisp. The situation got so bad that the United Nations had to interfere. People died. But we are determined to bounce back and make a grand return to the final this edition.
Due to time restrictions, Sheni Archevani! will not be our chosen selection method this edition. We will select the entry internally.

Thanks to  NAZIMA we managed to qualify after 8 NQs in a row, our legend managed to achieve a respectable 21st place, missing the top20 by only 8 points to the host country Sweden. Due to this, the views in Kazakhtsan rised a 23% and the public went crazy, we have been waiting this moment for more than 2 years. Gakku TV confirmed the participation in United Kingdom this morning and also our historic national selection Äwenfestïvali will be revamped and hosted for the 15th edition.
Simulations has been done in order to find out the best format, Gakku TV is still deciding the number of acts, semifinals or heats. But a new logo has been released! The submissions for the entries and foreign acts are still open, don't hesitate to submit them to our HoD inactivo (nq era) .

Today, RTL announced that it would make its decision regarding  Luxembourg's potential quarter-final participation after the results of the census. This comes as the country has been relegated for the third time this decade. Stay tuned. |

 Azerbaijan returns to North Vision AzTV is delighted to announce that Azerbaijan will be making its return to the North Vision Song Contest 38. Following a one-edition absence due to internal structural changes and budget cuts from the government, the new General Director of AzTV has revealed today that Azerbaijan will be taking part in the thirty-eighth edition, having secured support from both local and foreign sponsors. In correlation to such changes, a new delegation was also appointed in order to oversee the project within the country, replacing the former delegation that had been involved since the thirtieth edition. More details on the new team will be announced shortly.It was also revealed that the national selection, namely layihə: Northvision, will be continued to determine the nation's future representatives. Under a new management, the competition is expected to undergo several changes as well. Songs can be submitted via aztv.az/layihenvsc (click the link for the song suggestions form), and a shortlist of potential acts will be published by AzTV in due course.
