THE NETHERLANDS TO BE PRESENT FOR THE 31ST EDITION!Hilversum, the Netherlands
AVROTROS WILL BE THERE AT NORTH VISION 31!
After another edition of being in the final, and achieving a 26th place with Traudes AVROTROS has decided to continue participating in the contest!
AVROTROS also cannot confirm the selection method at this moment that will select the Dutch entry but Noordvisie Song Festival may serve once again as national selection method, highlighting the fact it is one of the most successful selection methods in Europe.
The finer details of the selection are still be decided but one thing can be sure. It will be serving the Netherlands' finest in terms of music, lyrics & performances.

 Switzerland confirms participation! Following a one-edition hiatus, we are delighted to announce  Switzerland's participation in the upcoming North Vision Song Contest, to be held in  Norway, following their astonishing win last edition.
Switzerland unfortunately wasn't able to be a part of the contest's jubilee thirtieth edition, as a result of various factors, included but not limited to a lack of funding, especially after hosting the twenty-eighth edition, as well and the general disappointment regarding Switzerland's placement in the twenty-ninth edition, where Vendredi sur Mer only managed to achieve the seventeenth place in the semi-final, with her song "Encore".
Nevertheless. the broadcaster is excited to mark a new beginning for Switzerland this decade in the contest.
Our entry will be chosen through an internal selection, and preparations have already begun!

 SEE YOU IN NORWAY! Oslo, Norway • 15 January 2020 After leaving the first days after the final for celebration and resting, NRK finally held a press conference in order to make their plans for the next edition known.
"We couldn't be prouder and happier after our huge victory in the anniversary edition in Malmö. Gåte delivered an amazing performance and won the hearts of Europe, North Africa and even Australia. We're glad that the message of the song could be communicated and appreciated although "Bannlyst" was sung in the Norwegian language and in a really special music style.
Children – their problems and destinies shaped via generations of inheritance – are often blamed for societal issues and wrongdoings. The issue is very much a contemporary one. But bad behaviour should always be carefully examined. People will always seek out someone to blame. But not all things in life need to come to an end with wrongdoing. There is a way forward, if one is willing to walk that way with someone."
The band arrived in Oslo on Monday in a very warm welcome with hundred of fans waiting for them at the airport and thousands celebrating in the streets. The Head of Delegation officially announced that Norway is hosting the 31st North Vision Song Contest. The council in association with the Norwegian team has already started discussions about the host city and the theme of the contest, which will be the third one hosted in Norwegian ground.DEN NORSKEN SANGEN 28 After the succesful DNS edition that brought a NVSC winner, NRK is still counting on it in order to select the so-called "host entry". The format will return to the usual one with 10 songs participating, as the broadcaster wants to focus more on the hosting of an unforgettable Northvision edition."Submissions have already opened and we can't wait to showcase more Norwegian talent. Songs with ethnic elements are always appreciated and they can even win NVSC, as it showed." |

 France will not take part in the upcoming edition of the competition. It is officially reported that the reason for this decision is unsatisfactory results and a crisis in relations between the national broadcaster and the head of the delegation. The change of head of delegation in the near future is not ruled out. |

Parade of Plantes will travel to Norway!
After a very close national selection where 26 users votes, Parade of Plantes have won with 2 more votes than the runner-up. Parade of Planets, sometimes referred to as PoP for short, is a pop band from Minsk, Belarus, formed in 2016. They describe their music with the keywords "sex", "beats" and "vocal". They perform songs in the Russian and French languages. The band is currently based in Minsk, which is the birth city of frontwoman Yulia who is the band's vocalist, main lyric writer and melody writer. Alexey Goloveshko, the band's guitarist comes from Biešankovičy, in the Viciebsk region in northern Belarus is also credited as a songwriter. This is also the first time  Belarus is sending entry in french. We wish PoP a lot of luck in Norway and you may listen to their entry "Toi et Moi" below:

 ENTF Press Release - Algiers, Algeria - 16th January 2020.
Algeria to be present in the 31st edition of the North Vision Song Contest
ENTV can confirm Algeria will contest the 31st edition of the North Vision Song Contest despite having to go through the PQR. Following yet another disappointing result, the broadcaster remains hopeful they can send a song that will be more accessible than the last to the masses.
The representative has been internally selected by the broadcaster and will be revealed in due course.
The song has been described by ENTV as a mid-tempo groovy bop.

 MOLDOVAN ENTRY REVEALED!
Today, TRM has confirmed the Moldovan entry at the upcoming thirty-first edition of North Vision Song Contest held in Norway!
After the poor results in the last 2 editions we are ready to come back with a bang and hopefully survive the PQR. We proudly present
