EARLY SONG REVEAL Kiev, 19th January 2020 • Ukraine finally made an announcement regarding the 31st edition of the North Vision Song Contest held in Norway. This edition, the team around the HoD worked much faster than usual, resulting in confirmation and the fact that they are already ready to reveal the next entrant.
Last edition, DaKooka was selected through the national selection series "PNV" where she won with her song "Strangelove". She then participated in the Grand Final as one of the 7 automatic qualifiers. "Strangelove" managed to place 21st out of 27 participants with 176 points, making it one of the worst places Ukrainian entries in the 3rd decade of NVSC.
Now we are already excited to be part of the 31st edition and of course to present you our next hope. Open the spoiler to get to know the internally chosen entry (with a familiar face).
KAZKA IS BACK!Yes, you heard right! The trio "Kazka" has been chosen again to compete for us in the contest. Kazka consists of vocalist Oleksandra Zaritska, multi-instrumentalist Mykyta Budash and the sopilka player Dmytro Mazuriak. Originally founded by Oleksandra and Mykyta in 2017, they rose to fame status very quick, first with their debut single "Svyata" and then with their most popular song "Plakala"."Plakala" is also the entry they participated with in the North Vision Song Contest: Back then when the 25th edition of the contest was held in Casablanca, they were selected internally as well to represent our country. Their song was selected through a national final where their 10 songs from their first album called "Karma" participated against each other. "Plakala" was able to convince the European community and therefore won the national final. In Casablanca they participated as one of the automatic qualifiers due to the success of Tarabarova in the edition before. In the Grand Final they managed to place 21st with 153 points. While with "Plakala" they cried, now they will be "on fire". The name of their second attempt in NVSC is "Palala" (On Fire). As Kazka stated, the song "is about the passion that can't be resisted, love that leaves no chances, and beauty that lives in each of us. All you have to do is find a way to yourself! A red thread will show you the direction and you will not be ashamed of your own feelings anymore. Only be on fire!”."Palala" is - as usual - a typical pop song with folk elements, where Dmytro plays the flute and gives the song its ethnic vibes. Kazka manages to stand out with their special music style and the NVSC delegation hopes that it can convince the audience out there in the world.Give it a try! Listen to the song right now! UKRAINE IN #31 PALALAKazkatimeslot: 1:59+
We hope that you are lucky with the chosen song. See you in Norway!

A short comment about Israel Despite Israel's recent success, there's a high possibility for the country to withdraw from the 31st edition. This is due to internal issues that firstly need to be solved. I know this comment is really unmeaning, but I just had to get something done lol. Also I actually really have some other personal stuff to do.
