AUSTRALIA CONFIRMS! thank u alper or whoever he stole this format from for the format i love u very much
Following the announcement earlier this week that Australia would officially be allowed to participate in the North Vision Song Contest as a fully fledged participating nation, today broadcaster SBS has confirmed the Australian participation in the thirty first edition of the contest, set to be held in Norway.
The news comes after Vera Blue and the song "The Way That You Love Me" managed to achieve an impressive 7th place which only just missed out on an automatic qualification to the grand final. As a result, the nation will be competing through the semi-finals for the first time. "We're so excited to be participating in the contest as a permanent member after rapidly growing recent public interest. We are incredibly thankful to Celia and the previous delegation team for their successes last edition, we would not be where we are today without you and wish you the absolute best of luck in your future endeavours, rumour has it you're off to Montenegro so you're going to need it."
Speaking of the #31 participation, the new head of delegation, Alex Minogue, confirmed that SBS would be debuting a national selection process to choose the Australian representative.
“Northvision: Australia Decides definitely takes inspiration from other current Northvision selections from the likes of the UK, Spain, Portugal, and an ugly bitch named Sweden. We've selected twenty four artists from a variety of genres and backgrounds and they've been split into three semi-finals - four will qualify from each semi-final to make a grand final of twelve. The selection is very much a work in progress and the format is likely to see changes over time, but for now we're really excited to see how things unfold."
Below, you can see a teaser of the twenty four artists competing in the first edition of Northvision: Australia Decides.THE ARTISTS Are there any you recognise? Published on 24 January 2020

Denmark confirms participation – DMGP returns as their selection! Sunday, 26 January 2020 • 13:55 Today, the Danish broadcaster DR officially confirmed that the country would be taking part in the upcoming 31st edition of the contest. The country's participation was unofficially confirmed by the Head of Delegation last edition, after the country's return to the final after 3 editions of non-qualification. Apart from confirming their participation, it was also confirmed that Dansk Melodi Grand Prix will be returning! DMGP returns to select entry! After another one edition break, the Danish national selection was confirmed to return for the 31st edition. The broadcaster has already restarted organizing Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 24, which was initally planned to take place for the 30th edition of the contest but was postponed due to lack of time and resources. DR has also confirmed the format of the selection:it will once again consist of a final with a total of 10 acts in the run to represent the country in Norway. Apart from the format, it was also confirmed that after 3 editions of Copenhagen hosting, the selection will return to Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning – making it the 7th time the venue is hosting the selection, the last time being the 20th anniversary edition. Ulla Essendrop was also confirmed to be the solo presenter for the selection, for 4th edition in a row. Earlier today during an interview with a Danish morning show, the Head of Delegation said the following regarding the selection: "Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 24 is underway as we speak, and is nearly in completion. Although there were already some drafts from the previous Northvision edition, this time around we will manage to wrap it up and hopefully get it running as soon as possible. As DR has reported with their press release, the format will be the same as in the past few editions, there might be some minor changes in the voting but it will essentially be the same." The selection is expected to kick off within the next week. Stay tuned for more information! DR © 2020 • Published on 26 January 2020

Serbia confirms participation in Northvision Song Contest #31
On January 28th 2020 RTS confirmed that Serbia will participate in the thirty-first edition of Northvision Song Contest with a new Head of Delegation, Neno Mulanovic
A national selection will be held. We hope to present 10 fresh entries from our great nation (with some possible diaspora) but this depends on how many acts we can audition between now and the submission deadline
Mulanovic had this to say when announcing Serbia's confirmation - "I am honoured to oversee Serbia's participation in this great contest. It has been four editions since our country passed to the final and I hope to change that, or die trying."
Being the HoD of Armenia for five editions was fun, but it's time to move forward. Best of luck to the new HoD, Cedric. I will send you a list of suggested artists when I find the time.
