It's VVAVES for Germany!

Cologne, 11th May: Last night, the results of the

German NS, Unser Song für NVSC 32, were revealed and the winner is VVAVES with her song "5 Of Your Exes". She managed to beat Cinta Laura Kiehl, the runner-up, by 20 points and carried the jury voting as well as the televoting. She'll now go on to represent Germany in

Luxembourg city!

VVAVES is a 24 year old

Canadian singer, who has been living in

Germany, presumably in

Hamburg, for the last couple of years. Before moving to Germany, she has traveled to the country and participated in a student exchange, which inspired her to settle down here. After winning the NS, she expressed great gratitude and excitement, saying "I'm so happy that I can represent the country, that welcomed me with open arms, at Northvision. Such an amazing opportunity for me!" Her song "5 Of Your Exes" is a catchy and modern pop song and one of the shortest NVSC entries of all time, having a length of 2 minutes and 18 seconds. We hope you enjoy it!

It's Kadebostany for Switzerland!

Following a tense voting procedure, with 326 points, Kadebostany has emerged as the winner of Helvetia Festival #3, having received 15 more points than runner-up Red Moon.

Kadebostany is a band from Geneva,

Switzerland. It was founded in 2008 by DJ/producer Guillaume de Kadebostany, with lead vocals, lyrics and melodies by Amina (also known as Fléche Love), who is no longer part of the band..The band has its unique visual stylistic identity, which is reflected by their powerful live performances and music videos.

In 2011, the band released their first album "Songs From Kadebostany", while their 2013 album "Pop Collection", which included their #1 hit and past NVSC entry "Castle In The Snow", brought them the breakthrough in Switzerland and a triple nomination for the Swiss Music Awards.

Their latest EP is entitled "Drama (Act 1)" and includes appearances from past NVSC participants

IT'S ABIR!

Born in Fez, Morocco, at the age of five she moved with her parents to the USA. When she was six years old, her father introduced her to the music of Etta James. After living and growing up in Virginia, she decided to move to New York to pursue her career. Since then, her career has taken a more serious turn, which has seen Abir collaborate with acclaimed producers such as Illmind (who’s worked with Drake and Beyonce to name but a few) and rapper Fabolous. Her powerful and confident voice has also seduced electronic musician Masego, who she collaborated with on her breakthrough track Waves.

On North Vision Song Contest she will perform her song "Young & Rude". We wish our contestant good luck!
