Despite a recent cold streak, avoiding the PQR by a hair the last two times, Monaco confirms their participation in the 41st edition of NVSC held in Austria. On the evening of the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Monaco, the Monegasque Broadcaster confirmed that the musical Grand Prix de Monaco will return for this edition and once again be used as the National Selection method. Despite the lack of success it brought last edition the Grand Prix will be held with no rule changes, with the head of delegation Matilda Desfilles stating to instead get success by "just selecting better songs".

Lebanon will compete in NVSC #41! LBC has announced that Lebanon will be present in Austria for its thirty-fifth appearance at the North Vision Song Contest, and as such will be competing in the contest's forty-first edition.
The broadcaster is doing battle with dwindling viewing figures edition-on-edition – following Anou's Pre-Qualification Round elimination, viewing figures for the grand final of the fortieth edition reached a nine-edition low – and, consequently, is facing calls from its dissatisfied financial sponsors to 'up its game'. The country's delegation, however, is yet to address the concerns about its recent track record, instead focusing on praising Anou's performance in recent press statements.
« We were sad to see Anou's North Vision journey with 'Strange Goodbyes' cut short by the Pre-Qualification Round, but will continue to stand by our choice of entry and the risk we took – there's no shame in fourth place. It found its audience and, whilst that audience wasn't large enough to take the song to Athens, it's an entry we're glad to have been able to share all the same. » Whilst the selection method for its entry is yet to be confirmed, it has been announced that an all-female shortlist has been compiled, meaning the country will be returning to form and choosing a woman for the first time since edition #35. Insider sources claim that the broadcaster, feeling the push to step up to the plate and deliver, is hoping to line up a big name to turn the tide on its waning viewership, but with confidence in its delegation diminishing at the same rate as its ratings, this may prove easier said than done for the Middle Eastern nation.
Lebanon's NVSC journey made the best possible start as Nicole Saba won for the country on its debut in the fifth edition with 'Hafdal Ahlam', bringing the contest to Beirut for the sixth edition and starting a (to this day unmatched) three-edition qualification streak. The country's results from then on were rather turbulent, including two four-edition streaks of non-qualifications, although Myriam Fares achieved Lebanon's second best result with 'Nifsi Aoulhalak' in the fourteenth edition: second place.
A new delegation stepped in for the twenty-fourth edition, bringing Lebanon back to the final with Nelly Makdessy's 'Kunt Atmanna' in Vienna, and achieving three top ten results for the country (with 'Call Me a Stranger', '22' and 'Dear Jealousy') before passing the baton on to the current delegation team for the thirty-fourth edition onwards, returning to the final – and to the top ten – with Azure Ryder's 'Stronger'.
Brought to you by the Lebanese Head of Delegation on 27th May 2023
